A number of high priority initiatives will be ad- dressed, including labor related issues such as starting wage, mandatory paid sick leave and worker’s schedules, proposed taxes on sugar sweetened beverages, worker’s comp, plastic bags, data breach, GMOs and SNAP. All food handlers in grocery stores, except for those with a Food Service Sanitation Mangers Certifi- cation License, must receive food handlers training by July 1, 2016. A state-approved program will be offered during the conference for the first 40 people to register at no cost. is session will run for three hours and then delegates will be free to visit the Expo floor.
