Tree House Restaurant (New Zealand)







This unusual restaurant started life as an ad campaign,

in New Zealand company similar to the Yellow Pages.

The idea was to build a restaurant in a tree using only

resources listed in the companys directories.

Tracey Collins of Auckland made it her mission to

build the restaurant-in-a-tree using Yellow.

The designer was careful to minimize the impact on

the tree and the surrounding forest.

The speciality they serve is PASTAS.



WELCOME TO CARNIVORE



The CARNIVORE NAIROBI was started in1980 situated 4 km from City

Center

The Carnivore is a meat specialty restaurant and it is justifiably

referred to as 'Africa's Greatest Eating Experience'.

The Carnivore since its inception has played host to over 2 million

customers from across the globe including numerous celebrities

Whole joints of meat - legs of lamb and pork, haunches of exotic

meat, rumps of beef, sirloins, racks of lamb, spare ribs, sausages,

chicken wings, skewered kidneys, even crocodile, and other tasty

morsels - are roasted on traditional Maasai swords over a huge,

spectacular charcoal pit that dominates the entrance of the restaurant .

Another famous feature to set the tone of the Carnivore experience is

the house cocktail The 'Dawa' ( which means medicine or magic potion

in Swahili). This is based on a famous Brazilian drink.



The Carnivore has a seating capacity of 420 in the main restaurant

and caters to a cosmopolitan blend of local residents. It is also one of the most popular tourist restaurants and regularly caters for large

parties of tourists and delegates. The Simba Saloon has a seating

capacity of 450 and can hold up-to 2000 persons for concerts .

(LATIVA)



Hospital Themed Restaurant LATVIAA unique, weird restaurant has opened in Riga, Latvia named

Hospitalis.It is a must-see place if you like gore things. The

restaurant looks like a medicine cabinet, while you are treated

as a patient and taken good care by the long-legged waitressesin nurses uniforms.The food is served in flasks and operating-

rooms dishes and isnt that cheap (7 and more lats per meal),

but this is a bizarre experience that is worth breaking the bank.

Besides, the place is owned by local doctors, but unfortunately,

the president of Latvia, who is also a doctor, declined hisappearance at the opening once he realized how weird this

place actually is.

Restaurant Name: Restaurant Nansen

VT food category "Arctic" doesn't really fit in here.

But if you take Arctic raw materials (reindeer, seal, whale,

arctic char, deep sea red fish, salomon, goose etc. etc.) and

turn them into edibles for an international clientele you will

get it. The restaurant prides itself for it's international

kitchen.Great view of the isfjorden scenery from the window side

of the restaurant. Well, not all year...

This is probably the best and most upmarket dining you can

have this far north. Come here for excellent food and a

splash-out. If you want to go for the mood, go to "Huset".

Favorite Dish: I had arctic char (a fish) fried/baked on a

plank of Siberian larch (driftwood) and then various stuff

with it.

Pelican Bar

(Jamaica South Coast):

The Pelican Bar is located on a sand bar

roughly 3/4 of a mile off of Jamaicas South

Coast. It is one of the most unique places

in the world to witness a sunset. ThePelican Bar specializes in Red Stripe beer

and local rum. We highly recommend a

visit to this unusual property, even though

it is not an official restaurant (food must

be prearranged and brought out by boat).
