Korean History Through Korean Drama and Movies: Part II
~A journey through Korean history from the Three Kingdoms era beginning in the1st century BC to the present age~
Starting with 'Yon-sama' and Winter Sonata, Japan has experienced a Koreandrama and style boom. Now you can see Korean dramas of various genres on TVand cable. Like Japan, Korea has a long history and ancient traditions. This mini-seminar explores Korean history through discussing drama and movies withhistorical themes. From the classic historical dramas to fusion drama based onhistorical events, this two-part mini-seminar will showcase highly recommendedmovies and series following the historical timeline as well as the tourist spots andactors they feature.
