giving the much needed impetus to the industry

The successful completion of IFEX 2014 – 10th International Exhibition on Foundry Technology, Equipment &

Supplies and 5th edition ofCast India Expo - Exhibition for IndianCasting Manufacturers held during February 07 – 09,

2014 at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, INDIA was yet another moment of pride for its organizers, The

Institute of Indian Foundrymen (IIF) and KoelnmesseYATradefair Pvt.Ltd.

In spite of the slowdown in the foundry industry in India and globally, IFEX 2014 has emerged as the largest foundry industry

exhibition ever organized in India.The initial planned area of the exhibition was completely filled and to accommodate the

companies in waiting and other prospective exhibitors the exhibition area was increased to 16000 sq.mt.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Ms. Reena Bhagwati, President, The Institute of Indian Foundrymen. Other dignitaries

present during the inaugural ceremony were: Mr.Vinod Kapur, President – World Foundry Organization; Mr.Vikas Garg,Vice

President,The Institute of Indian Foundrymen; Mr. Subodh Panchal, Chairman, Organizing Committee, 62nd Indian Foundry

Congress; Mr. Jagat Shah, Chairman – Exhibition Committee &Vice Chairman - Organizing Committee, 62nd Indian Foundry

Congress; Mr.AndrewTurner from Foundry Equipment SuppliesAssociation, UK; Mr.Amish Panchal, Secretary,The Institute of

Indian Foundrymen; Mr. Ashwani Pande, Managing Director, Koelnmesse YA Tradefair Pvt. Ltd.; Representatives from BRIC

countries,VDMA- German Engineering Federation, China Foundry Association, and past presidents of The Institute of Indian

Foundrymen. In their address to the gathering all the dignitaries voiced the emergence of IFEX as one of the most important

foundry industry exhibitions in SouthAsia.

296 exhibitors from 15 countries including group country pavilions from China, Germany and Italy - exhibited their latest

products / services being offered to the foundry industry.Global players catering to foundry industry have used IFEX 2014 as a

platform to launch their new technologies not only to the Indian market but also to theGlobal markets.

The 62nd Indian Foundry Congress, which was organized by IIF concurrent to IFEX & Cast India Expo, was well attended by

over 1400 delegates. Eminent speakers from across the globe shared their expertise and knowledge addressing the latest

challenges being faced by the foundry industry.

Over 40 foundries from across India have exhibited in Cast India Expo 2014 displaying their capacities and capabilities to the

casting buyers from across the Globe.The 'Cast Source Meet' organized by IIF as part of the 62nd Indian Foundry Congress has

brought both casting buyers and sellers to the table to discuss the current and future requirements of the buyers.

This trade fair was witnessed by 6105 trade visitors coming from across the globe apart from over 1400 delegates of the

62nd Indian Foundry Congress. Most of the exhibitors expressed their satisfaction towards the profile of the visitors who

visited their stalls during the 3 days of the exhibition.

With the success of its 10th edition, IFEX once again proved its prowess as the leading foundry supplier trade fair in the Indian

Sub-Continent. As a platform for 'Building Brand India as a global sourcing destination for casting', Cast India Expo is fast

gaining its acceptance among the Indian foundries.

Continuing the success story, the next editions of IFEX and Cast India Expo will be organized concurrent to 63rd Indian

FoundryCongress during February 27 – March 1,2015 at India ExpoCentre & Mart,Greater Noida, INDIA.
