IntroductionWith over 2,000 satellites roaming the face of Earth, images are collected from as much as 4 million km² of area everyday. Even the craziest, most bizarre and unbelievable occurrences, regardless of whether they are man-made or natural phenomena, have been captured with one of our partner satellites.

10.Giant Bunny Lying on its back in the Italian Alps, this giant bunny was built to encourage visitors to interact with it - climb it, snap a pic or even sleep on it. Created by the Austrian art collective in 2008, the 200-ft toy sculpture is big enough to be seen from space, something that amazed even its creators (and us too!).

09.Capsized Cruise ShipThe Costa Concordia, an Italian cruise ship, capsized and sank off Isola del Giglio, Tuscany on January 13, 2012. This sparked a number of controversies when it accidentally struck a rock after deviating from its planned course.

08.Popularly known as “the boneyard,” The Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona is home to thousands of U.S. military planes that have reached their expiration date. The 2,600 acre cemetery houses nearly every plane the military has flown since World War II - think B-52 StratoFortress and F-14 Tomcats. Aviation enthusiasts would have a field day here!

Biggest Sand ArtFor billionaire Sheikh and member of Abu Dhabi’s ruling family, Hamad bin Hamdan al Nahyan, ‘writing in sand’ means creating a half-mile tall and 2 miles long carving that is visible from space! The letters are large enough to form waterways, which absorb the tide on the shore of Al Futaisi island. Majestic indeed!

06.World’s Largest FingerprintSeen here from space, ‘Fingermaze’ is a huge masterpiece in the landscape of Hove Park in Brighton, United Kingdom. Made out of York flagstone and lime mortar, the maze was designed by Chris Drury in 2006, a South Eastern artist whose art pieces explore art and nature.

05.Heart-shaped PondThis almost perfectly shaped heart pond located in Columbia Station, Ohio is highlighted by the surrounding road and the border of trees.

04.The Badlands GuardianAppearing like an embossed Indian Head off the southeast corner of Alberta, Canada. The Badlands Guardian is actually a geo-morphological feature with an incredible resemblance to an Aboriginal Canadian wearing a headdress.

03.Whompoa BoatYes, this is a cruise ship nestled in the midst of Hongkong’s skyscrapers. Howev-er, it’s not an operational cruise ship but a shopping mall! The mall has become one of the main attractions in Hongkong, and its peculiar design has made it earn its place as one of the most unusual com-mercial centers in the world.

The “Beast of Kandahar,” or the Lockheed Martin RQ-170 Sentinel, is a stealth drone that first appeared in 2009 when it was deployed in Kandahar, Afghanistan - which was the exact reason for its moniker “Beast of Kandahar.” Living up to its stealthynature, here it is almost invisible as it sits outside of a shelter at Creech Air Force Base on February 2, 2012. Until now, the details of its mission in Afghanistan,remains top secret.
