Sonics greatestability is his running speed, and he is known as the worlds fastesthedgehog. Using the power of the 7 Chaos Emeralds, he canbecome Super Sonic, and achieve even greater speeds. He is a bluehedgehog fighting against an evil villain called Dr. Egg man. Can beinterpreted as a cool character to children. Sonics personalityreveals a cool modern hedgehog who acts like a human being. Hispower of speed is what I like most about him

2. Super MarioSuper Mario is a 1985 platform video gamecharacter developed by Nintendo, published forthe Nintendo Entertainment System as a pseudo-sequel to the 1983 game Mario Bros. It is the firstof the Super Mario series of games. In SuperMario Bros., the player controls Mario and in atwo-player game, a second player controls Mariosbrother Luigi as he travels through the MushroomKingdom in order to rescue Princess Toadstoolfrom the antagonist Bowser. Super mario had a lotof levels to play through which is why I like thegame. 3. PokmonPokmon is a media franchise published and owned by Japanese video gamecompany Nintendo and created by Satoshi Tajiri in 1996. Originally releasedas a pair of interlink able Game Boy role-playing video games developed byGame Freak, Pokmon has since become the second-most successful andlucrative video game-based media franchise in the world, behind onlyNintendos own Mario franchise. Pokmon properties have since beenmerchandised into anime, manga, trading cards, toys, books, and othermedia. The franchise celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2006, and as of 28May 2010 (2010 -05-28)[update], cumulative sales of the video games(including home console versions, such as the "Pikachu" Nintendo 64) havereached more than 200 million copies, You play as a boy catching creaturescalled Pokmon which have different abilities. 4. Street Fighter2d fighting game consisting of many game characters where you fight throughstages. Street Fighter, commonly abbreviated as SF, is a series of fighting gamesdeveloped in Japan in which the players pit the video games competitive fightersfrom around the world, each with his or her own unique fighting style, against oneanother. One of the main characters in this game is Ryu. Ryu is the main characterand "hero" of the Street Fighter series. Ryu has made an appearance in every StreetFighter game, as well as in every crossover fighting game with Capcom characters init. Ryu has arguably become the most famous character in the fighting gamegenre, starring in early fighting games such as Street Fighter, but really got wellknown in Street Fighter II, where he was considered a "basic" character. He, alongwith Mega Man, is considered one of Capcoms unofficial "mascots". 5. TekkenTekken is a fighting game franchise created, developed and published by Namco (later NamcoBandai Games). Beginning with the original Tekken in 1994, the series has received severalsequels as well as updates and spin-off titles, as well as three films and other media. Theseries official English name is always written in all-capital letters (TEKKEN, abbreviated toTK). The story in each game in the main series documents the events of the fictional martialarts tournament, the King of Iron Fist Tournament, hosted by the Mishima ZaibatsuCorporation. Theseries, originally exclusive to the Sony PlayStation, was created by Andy Gavin and JasonRubin during their tenure at Naughty Dog for Sony Computer Entertainment. Since itsconception at Naughty Dog, the series has appeared on multiple platforms and gone throughvarious developers and spans numerous genres. As of 2012, the series has a total of 18different games.The games are mostly set on the fictitious Wumpa Islands, an archipelago situated to thesouth of Australia, although other locations are common. The main games in the series arelargely plat formers, but several are spin-offs in different genres. The protagonist of the seriesis an anthropomorphic bandicoot named Crash, whose quiet life on the Wumpa Islands isoften interrupted by the games main antagonist, Doctor Neo Cortex, who created Crash andnow wants nothing more than his demise. Its usually up to Crash to defeat Cortex and foilany world domination plans he might have. 7. Pac ManPac-Man is an arcade game developed by Namco and licensed for distribution in theUnited States by Midway, first released in Japan on May 22, 1980. Immensely popularfrom its original release to the present day, Pac-Man is considered one of the classics ofthe medium, virtually synonymous with video games, and an icon of 1980s popularculture. Upon its release, the gameand, subsequently, Pac-Man derivativesbecame asocial phenomenon, that sold a bevy of merchandise and also inspired, among otherthings, an animated television series and a top-ten hit single.When Pac-Man was released, the most popular arcade video games were spaceshooters, in particular Space Invaders and Asteroids. The most visible minority weresports games that were mostly derivative of Pong. Pac-Man succeeded by creating a newgenre and appealing to both genders. Pac-Man is often credited with being a landmark invideo game history, and is among the most famous arcade games of all time. It is also oneof the highest-grossing video games of all time, having generated more than $2.5 billionin quarters by the 1990s. The character has appeared in more than 30 officially licensedgame spin-offs. 8. Space InvadersSpace Invaders is an arcade video game designed by Tomohiro Nishikado, and released in1978. It was originally manufactured and sold by Taito in Japan, and was later licensed forproduction in the United States by the Midway division of Bally. Space Invaders is one ofthe earliest shooting games and the aim is to defeat waves of aliens with a laser cannon toearn as many points as possible. In designing the game, Nishikado drew inspiration frompopular media: Breakout, The War of the Worlds, and Star Wars. To complete it, he had todesign custom hardware and development tools. It was one of the forerunners of modernvideo gaming and helped expand the video game industry from a novelty to a globalindustry (see golden age of video arcade games). When first released, Space Invaders wasvery successful. Following its release, the game caused a temporary shortage of 100-yencoins in Japan and grossed US$2 billion worldwide by 1982. The game has been theinspiration for other video games, re-released on numerous platforms, and led to severalsequels. The 1980 Atari 2600 version quadrupled the systems sales and became the first"killer app" for video game consoles. Space Invaders has been referenced and parodied inmultiple television shows, and been a part of several video game and cultural exhibitions.The pixelated enemy alien has become a pop culture icon, often used as a synecdocherepresenting video games as a whole. 9. Mortal combatMortal Kombat (commonly abbreviated "MK"), is a series of fighting games created byEd Boon and John Tobias. The first four renditions and their updates were developedby Midway Games and initially released on arcade machines, and later to homeconsoles. The arcade titles were later picked up by Acclaim Entertainment for thehome console conversions. Beginning with Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, MidwayGames exclusively created home versions of Mortal Kombat up until Mortal Kombatvs. DC Universe. Following Midways bankruptcy, the franchise was picked up byWarner Bros. in July 2009 and became a part of the Warner Bros. InteractiveEntertainment. The most recent title is Mortal Kombat which is an alternate retellingof the events from the first three games in the series. The development of the firstgame was originally based on the actor martial artist Jean-Claude Van Damme, butthat idea fell through and Mortal Kombat was born instead. As a result of itssuccess, Mortal Kombat has spawned many sequels and has been spun off into severaladventure games, films (animated and live-action with its own sequel), and televisionseries (animated and live-action). Other spin-offs include various comic book series, acard game and a live-action tour. 10. Prince of PersiaPrince of Persia is a video game franchise created by Jordan Mechner, originallydeveloped for and released on the Apple II Computer in 1989. The original gameand its first sequel were 2D platform games, but the series made the switch tothree-dimensional following the release of Prince of Persia 3D in 1999. Eventhough Mechner has been involved with the series in varying capacitiesthroughout its history, the games themselves have been developed and publishedby several different companies. The first two games in the series, Prince of Persiaand Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame, were developed byBrderbund. Prince of Persia 3D was developed by Red Orb Entertainment andpublished by The Learning Company on PC, and developed by Avalanche Softwareand published by Mattel Interactive on Sega Dreamcast. French-based video gamecompany Ubisoft began developing and publishing the series in 2003 with Princeof Persia: The Sands of Time, and so far have been the most prolific of anycompany in bringing out new games in the series.
