Airport Transfer Information Note

1. Transfer to Hulhumale

Option A (Public transport-Bus)

Fare per person per trip: MVR 20

Operation interval: Every 30 minutes or every 1 hour (for timings please refer to the

INIA/Hulhumale’ Shuttle Bus Schedule, attached in this information note. Please find the bus

route from Airport to Hulhumale marked in the attached diagram.)

Boarding Point: International terminal

Disembarkation Point: Main Bus Stop

Duration of the trip: Approximately 20 minutes.

Transfer from disembarkation point to the hotel: By Taxi – 30MVR per trip (less than 15

minutes to any hotel in Hulhumale Island)

Option B (hotel transfer)

Vehicle arranged by the hotel, the cost for which will be added to the participants’ hotel bill.

2. Transfer to Male’

Option A (Public transport-Ferry)

Fare per person per trip: MVR 10 (after midnight MVR 20)

Operation interval: Every 10 minutes

Boarding Point: Airport Ferry Terminal, Hulhule (terminal is marked in the attached diagram)

Duration of the trip: Approximately 10 minutes.

Disembarkation Point: Airport Ferry Terminal, Male’

Transfer from Jetty to the hotel: By taxi - MVR 30 per trip (less than 20 minutes – depending

on traffic)

Option B (hotel transfer)

Speed boat and vehicle arranged by the hotel, the cost for which will be added to the

participants’ hotel bill.

3. Transfer to Paradise Island Resort

Participants who stay in Paradise Island Resort

Speed boat Transfer will be Arranged by Hotel. Duration of the trip is approximately 30 minutes

and USD 104 per person (two way). This amount should be settled by participant upon check

out.

Note: There is no public Transportation to any resort in Maldives.

4. Transfer to Bandos Island Resort

Participants who stay in Bandos Island Resort

Speed boat Transfer will be Arranged by Hotel. Duration of the trip is approximately 30 minutes

and USD 104 per person (two way). This amount should be settled by participant upon check

out.

Note: There is no public Transportation to any resort in Maldives.

Airport Help Desk

Airport help desk arranged by Ministry of Environment and Energy (labelled as MEE

Information Desk in the attached diagram) will be placed outside the arrival area. Please note the

location in the diagram. Staff at the desk will mark participants’ arrival, provide additional

information about transfer to conference venue, provide brochure about plant tour and will escort

the participant to the jetty/bus stop for transfer to Male’ and Hulhumale.

Cost of a ticket is 10 MVR from 06:00 to 00:00

Cost of ticket is 20 MVR form 00:00 to 06:00

Ferry goes to Male Island.

Duration of the trip is approximately 10 minutes
