Read 1:18-20. In the chart below, compare and contrast Timothy with the false teachers in Ephesus. Consider their qualifications for serving in the church, their character, and their conduct.

The conviction of the truth of anything; trust, belief. In reference to Christ: a strong belief that Jesus Christ is the Messiah through whom we obtain eternal salvation & entrance into the kingdom of Godof God.
