Career Clusters:

• Are a way to organize occupations that are related to an industry.

• Define career pathways a person can follow and the knowledge and skills they need.

• Link learning in school to knowledge & skills needed for success in college and careers.

• Learning is more relevant to career interests and goals.

cluster

• Careers in a pathway are related by knowledge, skills and industry focus.

• Changing careers within a pathway is easier than between pathways – share common knowledge and skills.

• Changing careers within a cluster is usually easier than between clusters.
