alsofluctuatethroughouttheday,typicallycoolertemperaturesinthemorning,warmerintheafternoon,andcoolingdownagainintheevening.Otherfactorsthatcaninfluencebodytemperatureare:thepatientsrecentlevelofactivity,metabolismrate,ormedications.Normalbodytemperaturesalsotendtodecreasewithage.
Pleaseseethechartbelowfornormaltemperaturerangesbypatientageandsite.Readingsfromdifferentbodysites,evenwhentakenatthesametime,shouldnotbedirectlycompared;bodytemperatureswillvarybysite.
