A: Great commissions. We know the best sales people are motivated by money, assuming the product they represent is a good, reliable one. We have a match!
Q: Do you provide sales collateral?
A: Yes! It’s all here on our Web site for the taking. You are free to print out anything on the site.
A: That depends on how long ago we signed your client up. If it was yesterday, you get 8% of the amount we bill the customer.
Q: What is the range?
A: Commissions range from 10% to 2% of billing. For active reps, it’s 4% for customers over six months old, and 2% for customers over twelve months old.
A: Customer A sends 200 pages per month through our server, for an average cost of $12 per page. Gross revenue is $2,400. Your monthly commission would be $192 (8% at this level).
Q: Another example?
A: Customer B signed up seven months ago, and sends us 2,000 pages per month. Gross revenue is $24,000. Your monthly commission would be $960 (4% at this stage). After twelve months, you would receive 2% of the billing, for as long as you are an active representative.
A: We started this model in 2000. We’ve been working to prove and improve it since then.
Q: How many proofreaders are in the army?
A: Over 100, around the world, in fifteen time zones. Someone is always ready to work on submissions. Eventually there will be 4,000 proofreaders worldwide.
A: At level one, we proofread for grammar, spelling, typos, punctuation, and clarity. At level two, we actually reconstruct and improve the style of the writing, if possible. The customer chooses between levels one and two. Level two includes level one.
Q: What about specialty areas?
A: We have specialists in medical, legal, engineering, and financial writing, at the customer’s request.
A: Please visit our home page for current pricing.
Q: Will I have the opportunity to advise the company?
A: Through our rep-menu system, you can participate in online forums and register your observations, suggestions, and criticisms for management to see and react to. We also encourage you to join us at major tradeshows, which we attend periodically.
A: Exclusive territories are too tough to manage, given the pervasiveness of the Internet. But once your client signs up and identifies you as his rep, that client is exclusively yours.
Q: Can I see a representative agreement form?
A: Yes, of course! We’ll ask you to sign one. To get a copy, call our office at 978-887-6675 x122.
A: Less than 100 at the present time. You may very well be the only one in the territory you work, whether that territory is geographical or by industry.
Q: Where is the server? Where is the main office?
A: Everything is here in Topsfield, Massachusetts, in a secure site served up by multiple T1 lines.
