Basic fabric and other material requirements

a. Base fabric: Maroon color Blazer ( Felt ) to match with the cap

b. Navy- blue as per Nepal police color: base double ply polyester (Azo free) thread with three

layers of Tatami stitches. It should be with zigzag edges to show symbols of mountain. Total

peaks must be 29. The base embroidery size must be 39.88mm wide and 45.98mm height (

tolerance is on both sides within 0.15mm both sides)

Lab Test Requirement

a. Maroon colour Blazer fabric lab test report:

Light fastness: must be minimum 65 hours xenon arc lamp exposure no color changes

Blazer (Felt) fabric content must be 80% cotton 20% super poly, tolerance 3% either ways.

It must be properly brushed and the fabric thickness must be no less then 3mm

Dry and wet crocking must be 4 or above

Colorfastness to water : must be 4 or above

Color fastness to crocking: must be 4 or above

Measurement: confirmation either by Nepal police or report from SGS ITS.

Shrinkage must be no less than 2% after three washes

b. All Embroidery threads and components lab test report

Dry and wet crocking must be 4 or above

Colorfastness to water : must be 4 or above

Color fastness to crocking: must be 4 or above

Colour fastness to light; Iso 105 B02-2000: use xenon arc lamp Grade 6 or above exposure to

65 hours with Xenon Arc

b. Other accessories such as Velcro

Must be strong enough to hold for several hundred adhesive and removal, Will be tested by Nepal

police.

Fill Synthetic fill is basically formed from composite

threads bunched into dense clumps. Usually made from

polyester fibers, synthetic fill:Down alternative

Insulates best when wet.

Generally costs less than down.

Is hypoallergenic and ideal for people who are

allergic to down.

raincoat fabric)

There are some advantages to having extra room below

feet, namely the ability to keep some clothes and/or

footwear inside the bag with to keep them warm. winter

ShoulderGirth

Next in importance is shoulder girth, which is the

circumference of the sleeping bag across the shoulders.

Most men's sleeping bags feature a shoulder girth

somewhere between 60” to 66”

Hip Girth

Most men's bags feature a hip girth right around 58

inches, while women's are often a bit wider (up to 60

inches) to better accommodate the slightly wider hips

of the female physique.

TheHood

The hood of a sleeping bag adds considerable warmth

properly fitting hood will wrap comfortably, and

naturally. You shouldn't feel like you have to cram

your head into it to make it work. Once cinched up, it

should move with your head as you roll from side-to-

side

There needs to be 3.5” neck baffle attached inside the

sleeping bag for comfort.

Quilting The outer shell, inner lining and the fill are stitched

directly together trapping the insulation between them.

Quilting should be horizontal all over the body with the

space between the quilting of 3” ( apart)

Zipper No.10, Zipper Heavy duty fixed on right hand side

edge of sleeping bag half way to the bottom. MUST BE

SYNTHETIC NO METAL USED. Sew in with high

quality stitching with Navy Blue color polyester thread,

8 to 10 stitches per inch.
