Historical background / 1Year Milestone

1949 TESLA Rožnov established, production of vacuum tubes started

1989 Beginning of Eastern Block market recession leading to economy decline

1990 Czech economy was facing to new economical conditions after dramatic political change. Although TESLA Rožnov manufacturing had good technological level Rožnov could not compete economically. TESLA Rožnov with 8500 employees was splitted into 15 units, which had been privatized with different methods. 2500 people worked in the area of semiconductors - semiconductor manufacturing was splitted to small economical units that were able to survive, some of them were transferred.

1992 TESLA SEZAM and TEROSIL established, die manufacturing, integrated circuits and power transistors assembly for the rest of original market and first new customers abroad

1993 Beginning of Motorola Wafer Fab Partnership with TESLA SEZAM and TEROSIL

1994 Roznov Design Center established (Motorola Czech Design Center)

Historical background / 2Year Milestone

1999 "Semiconductor Compoment Group“ set aside of Motorola; ON Semiconductor established and, as a consequence, SCG Czech Design Center established

2003 Merger of TESLA SEZAM and TEROSIL, ON Semiconductor Czech Republic established

2008 AMI Semiconductor acquisition; Brno design center – ON Design Czech acquired
