This “grouping” is executed by the export hub.
At the import hub, the consolidation is broken down into individual consignments. Each single consignment is covered by an individual House Air Waybill (HAWB).

The co-loading stations are responsible for the following activities:
• Booking individual consignments with the hub• Cutting the HAWB• Advertising the hub of freight specifications• Communicating specific notification for dangerous goods, special sizes,…• Complying with consolidation instructions• Opening and maintaining a job file for each consignment• Approving disbursements and issue invoices• Arranging pre-carriage to hub

(In the course of their activities, export hubs are responsible for the following tasks)• Collecting and assembling consignements from their Forwarder co-loading station.• Checking incoming shipments regarding condition, number of package and lables.• Issuing irregularity reports and holding haulier responsible in case of failure.• Ensuring the pallet tags correspond with actual load.• Attaching MAWB lables where the flight details were not known at time of booking or
in case of alternate flights or other reasons beyond the control of the origin station.• Arranging and booking cargo space with airlines.• Opening and maintaining a master file for the consolidation.• Cutting the MAWB and the manifest.• Fulfilling customs requirements for export.• Approving disbursements and issue invoices.• Verifying dispatch control check and issuing Uplift reports.• Issuing consolidation instructions.

failure.• Fulfilling customs requirement.• Opening a master file for the consolidation.• Reforwarding information regarding Flight Schedule, MAWB plan and trucking
schedule.• Forwarding relevant information to the parties involved.Note: Communication between hubs and other stations generally served via electronic com.

Consolidation guidelines contain instructions relating to the cargo to be consolidated. They are prepared by the export hubs for every destination served, and are communicated to the co-loading stations. Issuing hubs maintain current distribution lists and make constant updates.
