Sin separates the believer from God, making him guilty of transgression and worthy of condemnation and punishment. But Jesus Christ is the believer's Helper—His Advocate. Jesus Christ stands before God to plead the case of the believer.

Who Can Press Charges Or Accuse Us? Romans 8:33-34 (KJV) 33 Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. And his charges will contain truth, because despite being saved, we still will sin.
