    Clinical features:

    Retention mucoceles are rare in the lower

    lip

    Retention mucoceles are derived from cysticdilatation of an obstructed ductand are

    lined by epithelium of ductal type

    Because the mucous is still contained within the duct

    theres no surrounding chronic inflammatory reaction
