Irregular Preterit Tense Verbs

Irregulars Certain verbs are irregular in the preterit

(past) tense. You must memorize these verbs and how they conjugate.

You can’t just plug it into the normal formula.

Verbs ending in -car, -gar, and-zar have a spelling change in the “yo” form of the pretérito.
