TAX FAIRNESS FACT #1: The richest Canadians are not paying

their fair share

From 1990 to 2005:

• The total tax rate went up for lowest income Canadians and went down for the richest 1%

• The richest 1% of Canadians now pay a lower total tax rate than the poorest 10%
