*Math - -Minimum H.S. Graduation Requirement: Geometry -Minimum College Entrance Math Requirement: Algebra 2. -Must show completion of Geometry coursework at an accredited, UC approved school in middle school or high school.
** Electives - Students need to take one class in two of these three areas for high school graduation. For college admissions, students must take World Language and Visual and Performing Arts. Many of the Applied Academics classes meet the UC “G” requirement.
To be CSU and UC eligible you must meet the A-G requirements plus take college entrance tests
Must pass classes with a “C” or better for college.
● Summer Academy: English, History, PE, Algebra 1, Geometry, Biology ○ 2 terms offered, 3 weeks = 1 term = 5 credits each term○ Starts in mid-June; 4 hours a day
● 8th Block: English, History, (Biology)○ 3 sessions offered per year, 10 week sessions, 2 times per week
● Online accredited institutions (i.e. BYU)
● Concurrent enrollment (i.e. De Anza)

Course Selection for Junior Year!Junior year is...the decision making year
● Step 1: Discuss course options and choice with your current teachers in that subject for next year○ Teachers will sign off with their input
● Step 2: Indicate if you plan to take any summer course(s)
● Step 3: Review form with your parents/guardian, both sign
● Last step: Register for classes online using Infinite Campus (IC). Keep this form to turn in with your half page in World History class on Feb. 25th

Steps for students:
1.You will select the next course in sequence regardless of a planned summer course.
On your Course Verification Form in April, list the summer course name, institution, and the desired math course for next school year.
After completion of course at an accredited institution, on the CHS homepage, access Summer Math Course Verification and Level Change Request Form and submit all required information by August 2019.
