10. Student feedback mechanism on Institutional Governance/faculty performance:
The Principal obtains the feed-back at least Twice a year from the students regarding the quality of teaching done by the teachers. In case of any shortcomings observed either in the quality of teaching or attitude, the teacher is suitably advised. Based upon the feedback the teachers are rated on a 10pt. Scale. Principal also takes feedback from the students regarding any difficulty or inconvenience faced by them and the issues are sorted out in consultation with the Deans, HODs and Wardens.

11. Grievances redressal mechanism for faculty Staff and students:
A Grievances Committee has been constituted way back in 2001 and its existence is widely circulated. Any major grievance, which could not be solved at the HOD level, can be submitted to the Committee. The Committee goes into the details and gives its suggestions to the Principal. The Principal in consultation with the Management takes appropriate steps for the redressal of the grievance.
A Suggestion Box is installed within the easy reach of the students in the Administrative Building so that they may communicate their grievances in writing. The Principal notes the suggestions so received to initiate corrective actions.

'Innovation Yatra', a talk on Entrepreneurship by Mr. Vikas Rajput, Goldman Sachs NEN certified faculty was held on 3rd October 2015 for 3rd and final year students. This talk was organized by Lemon School of Entrepreneurship.
1st Sem. Architecture students visited Contemporary Structures & Buildings of Bhopal, Historical Monuments of Bhimbhetka, Sanchi Stupa and Khajuraho, etc. during December 2015.
2nd Sem. students of Architecture visited Jain Temple, Ramtek as a part of curriculum on 16th Feb.2016. Other social activities carried out by the Dept
Swachcha Bharat Abhiyan undertaken by Dept. of Architecture to clean the surroundings of Ambala Temple of Ramtek town during 18th Feb.2015 as per the directives received from the Ministry of HRD and AICTE/University.
Tree plantation program was taken up by the NSS Unit in Yogiraj Hospital. Around 100 saplings were planted in the hospital premises.
NSS Unit conducted a 3-day camp in Lohdongari village during 1-3 March 2016 to create awareness on ‘Agricultural Products, Small Scale Industries, Women Empowerment, Swachcha Bharath Mission, Pollution control post Ganesh visarjan’, importance of blood donation, Environmental cleaning, ‘rain water harvesting’, ‘solar energy’, conducted. Further it also arranged free medical check-up camp.
For the Noble Cause of the humanity a Blood Donation Camp was organized on 30th Jan. 2016 to commemorate the Martyrs’ Day where in 166 students/staff donated blood.
An exhibition cum sale of handmade Rakhi made by Mentally Retarted Students of local school was arranged to motivate the mentally retarted students of Ekavira Mentally Retarted School, Kachurwahi on 25th Aug.2015, as was done in the last academic year.

A small group of students is attached to a teacher who acts as their counselor/mentor. The counseling students are required to meet the counselor on a regular basis and interact with him/her frequently. In case of any problem the counselor provides suitable advice. The counselor acts as a friend, philosopher and guide for his counseling students.
Career Counselling:
The Institution has fully functional Training and Placement Cell. An independent Training and Placement Officer head it. The career counseling mostly done by the Training and Placement Cell The Personality Development Training Programmes are regularly conducted in association with the M/S. Career Path Solutions, Hyderabad for the benefit of the students.
Medical facilities : A part-time Medical Officer is appointed by the Institute to provide Medical facilities to the students. Sports Activities:
The institute has a full-fledged Physical Education Department to provide sports and games facilities to the students. Literary activities:
The institute has a Literary Club to enhance and sharpen the literary skills of the students. Students are encouraged to participate in literary competitions like debates, elocutions, singing etc, at national/state/ university /inter- collegiate levels. Every year the students of the institute are winning various prizes in the national/state/ university /inter- collegiate level competitions and bring laurels to the institute.
A Language Lab has been set up where the students are taught about the Basic English Skills, which include pronunciation skills, written skills etc.
Magazine / News Letter:
The Institute brings out a college magazine every year where the students of the institute contribute articles of technical and non-technical nature, stories, poems, etc. The college magazine helps the students to exhibit their intrinsic literary talents. The Institute also publishes Quarterly News Letter highlighting the achievements of the students and the staff and also various activities conducted by the institute.
Technical activities/Tech.Fest:
The department has a fully functional ‗Architecture Association‘ for developing the overall
personality Leadership qualities of the future Architects. The Association regularly
organizes various Co—curricular & extracurricular activities like poster making, design
competitions, Mural making, Elongation, Seminars and guest lectures, participation in the
national and zonal level NASA events, exhibitions, workshops, paper presentations, site
visits, etc.
Apart from the above the following activities were conducted during 2015-16.
Students of Architecture participated in ‗STAMBH-2015‘ a national level technical fest
organized by Dept. of Civil Engg. on 15th and 16th Sept.2015 on the eve of Engineers‘
Day.
NSS Unit of our Institute conducted Swachchata Abhiyan Camp on 26th Sept.2015 at
Ghad Mandir. Architecture Dept. also conducted such event during Oct. 2015.
Helping Hands, miniature of KITS NGO donated Rs.5000/- to an alumni who passed away
in a road accident during Jan. 2016.
NSS Unit also hold a Street Play (Nukkad Natak) to create awareness on ‗Organ
Donation‘ and ‗Anti Drug Addictions‘ during Aug. 2015.
NSS Unit organized a plantation drive and arranged a guest lecture on ‗importance of
organ donation‘ by Sri S.Kharabe, Police Inspector, Ramtek Police Station on 22nd
Aug.2015. Further, NSS Unit also felicitated Sri Kharabe who alongwith his entire family
have pledged for organ donation. He shared his thoughts on organ donation.

Arch. Association conducted short movie flat lamp, Guest Lecture on Sustainable Resource Management by Kalpana Thakare, Ice breaker, Soap carving/model making, painting events, etc. during 2015-16.
Study tour / site visits
Site visits are conducted every year semester wise for providing hands on experience to the students of the department. 1st year students visited Ambala lake, Jain Mandir, Mansar excavations during Feb. 2016.
Study tour was organized for 2nd year Architecture students during August 2015 and
visited Delhi, Agra, Fatehpur Sikri, etc. 3rd year Arch. students visited Panchmadi (MP), 1st
year students visited Bhopal, Sanchi, Bhimbedka, Khajuraho during Dec. 2015. Ramoji
Film City during March 2016.
Alumni activities The institute has an independent alumni charter to interact with the passed out students
of the institute. The alumni charter organizes various alumni meets on a regular basis in the campus and outside campus. Alumni Meet of Architecture students was organized on 26th Dec. 2015 wherein 1st batch of Architecture (1994 batch) students visited the campus and shared their experiences with current batch students. They also met all faculty and visiting faculty. On this occasion they planted a sapling (Kadamb) in Construction Yard.
