Terms and Conditions Governing the
American Express – Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) 100% Cash Back Campaign
RM150,000 IN TOTAL TO BE WON (for all new & existing American Express Cardmembers)
1. Definition : In these terms and conditions, unless the context otherwise requires or
unless expressly stated herein to the contrary, the following expressions shall have the
following meanings :
1.1 “Maybank” means Malayan Banking Berhad, a company incorporated in Malaysia
and having its registered office at 14th Floor, Menara Maybank, 100, Jalan Tun Perak,
50050 Kuala Lumpur.
1.2 “Campaign” means the 100% Cash Back Campaign organized by Maybank where
American Express Cardmember who pay TNB bills with American Express Cards in
Retail, Online and AutoPay transaction during Campaign Period is automatically entitled
to participate in the Campaign to win the Campaign Prize.
1.3 Every interval of RM50 in a single transaction will be entitled for ONE (1) entry. AutoPay
transactions for TNB bills will be given 10x entries for this campaign. The 10x entries is
only applicable for ONE (1) time per unique customer level who is defined as Principal
Cardmember for entire campaign duration.
1.4 “Campaign Period” refers to the period during which the Campaign will be
conducted, commencing from 1 May to 31 October 2013 (both dates
inclusive) or such date(s) as may be extended, shortened or modified by Maybank.
1.5 “Campaign Prizes” means the total of RM150,000 cash rebate capped for entire
campaign duration, or a maximum of RM1,000 per Principal Cardmember at unique
customer level for entire campaign duration.
1.6 “Cardmembers” means the American Express Charge & Credit Cardmembers
both Principal and Supplementary.
1.7 “Eligible Cardmembers” refer to the persons set out in these terms and
conditions who are eligible to participate in the Campaign.
1.8 “Retail and Online Transaction” means any offline or online transactions posted made
with American Express Card for payment of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) bills.
1.9 “AutoPay Transaction” means any AutoPay transactions posted made with American
Express Card for payment of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) bills.
2. The Campaign is open to all new & existing American Express Credit & Charge Cardmembers
including Principal & Supplementary, excluding corporate cards.
3. The following person(s) shall not be eligible to participate in the Campaign :
a. Eligible Cardmember who has committed or is suspected of committing any
fraudulent, wrongful or suspicious acts in relation to any of his/her credit and/or charge
cards issued by Maybank or is in breach of any of the terms and conditions governing the
use of the Maybank’s products and/or services or is insolvent or an undischarged
bankrupt or is subjected to any bankruptcy or insolvency proceedings; or
b. Eligible Cardmember whose account(s) held with Maybank has become
delinquent or no longer has good credit standing; or
c. Eligible Cardmember whose credit and/or charge card(s) is/are involved
or suspected of being involved in any fraudulent, wrongful or suspicious activity, or
whose credit and/or charge cards have been blocked, suspended, cancelled or
terminated for any reasons whatsoever; or
d. American Express Corporate, Business, Purchasing Cardmembers (all
other cards apart from American Express Consumer Cards); or
e. Cardmembers who are or become insane, deceased or insolvent at the
commencement or at any time during the Campaign period; or
f. American Express Cardmember(s) who is (are) in default of facilities
granted by Maybank at any time during the Campaign Period; or.
g. American Express Charge or Credit Card(s) not issued by Maybank and Maybank
Islamic in Malaysia.
4. Crediting of the Cash Back will be made within 60 days after the campaign ended.
5. The awarded cash back amount will be credited to the American Express card
basic account of the highest product category (if Cardmember has used more
than 1 American Express card product for the Campaign).

a) The Platinum Charge Card
b) American Express Platinum Credit Card
c) Maybank 2 Amex Platinum Credit Card
d) Maybank Islamic Ikhwan American Express Platinum Credit Card
e) American Express Gold Charge Card
f) Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer American Express Gold Charge Card
g) Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer American Express Gold Credit Card
h) American Express Gold Credit Card
i) Maybank 2 Amex Gold Credit Card
j) Maybank Islamic Ikhwan American Express Gold Credit Card
k) Maybank American Express Gold Credit Card
l) American Express Classic Charge Card
m) Maybankard American Express Classic Credit Card
6. The Cash Back is in addition to the generic TreatsPoints or Membership Rewards Points, and
over & above discounts/savings offered by participating merchants.
PRIZES
1. There will be a total cash rebate capped at RM150,000 for entire campaign.
2. Total amount of Campaign Prizes to be given away shall not exceed Ringgit
Malaysia One Hundred Fifty Thousand (RM150,000).
3. Cardmembers are only entitled to win once throughout the Campaign Period.
4. The Cash Back payout will be made to ONE (1) of the highest amount of bill transacted during
the campaign period, with a maximum capping of RM1,000 per unique customer level who is
defined as Principal Cardmember. No accumulation of bills allowed. For example;
(i) if the bill paid amounted to RM500, full cash back of RM500 will be credited to Principal
Cardmembers’ card account.
(ii) if the bill paid amounted to RM1,200, a maximum cash back of RM1,000 will be credited
to Principal Cardmembers’ card account.
5. Cash back amount will be credited into Principal Cardmembers’ card accounts within 60 days
after the campaign ended.
6. Winner will be updated in Maybank website at www.maybank2u.com and/or American Express

2. Rekod transaksi yang dikemaskini oleh Bank dan pemilihan Pemenang oleh Bank adalah muktamad.
3. Maybank berhak untuk membatalkan Pulangan Tunai dan menarik balik kelayakan Pemegang
Kad dalam keadaan yang mana wujud masalah masukan bayaran TNB bill, pembatalan atau
penamatan Kad American Express sepanjang Tempoh Kempen. Maybank berhak menarik
kelayakan sebarang mana-mana transaksi yang mencurigakan pada mana-mana peringkat
Kempen ini.
4. Terma dan syarat ini adalah dianggap sebagai kontrak yang dibuat mengikut undang-undang
Malaysia dan bagi segala tujuan adalah ditadbirkan dan diertikan mengikut undang-undang Malaysia dan Pemegang Kad dengan ini bersetuju untuk akur kepada bidang kuasa eksklusif Mahkamah Malaysia.
5. Bank tidak bertanggungjawab atas sebarang kegagalan atau kelewatan yang berkaitan dengan Kempen yang disebabkan oleh mana-mana bencana alam, peperangan, rusuhan, mogok, keganasan, wabak, perintah berkurung, tindakan perindustrian, kebakaran, banjir, kemarau, ribut, gangguan komputer, ketiadaan elektrik atau kuasa bagi apa jua tempoh masa atau sebarang kejadian yang di luar kawalan Bank.
6. Bank berhak, atas budi bicara mutlaknya pada bila-bila masa, dengan memberikan notis terdahulu selama dua puluh satu (21) hari dan tanpa menyatakan sebarang alasan, untuk:-
a. Mengubah, mengubah suai, menukar, memotong atau menambah mana-mana terma
dan syarat yang terkandung di sini;
b. Melanjutkan, memendekkan atau mengubah Tempoh Kempen;
c. Menangguh, membatalkan atau menamatkan Kempen;
d. Menguatkuasakan sebarang pelarasan, pelucutan atau penyingkiran penyertaan Kempen atau Hadiah Kempen yang dimenangi
tanpa bertanggungjawab atas sebarang kehilangan atau kerugian yang dialami atau ditanggung oleh Pemegang Kad yang layak melalui www.maybank2u.com atau www.americanexpress.com.my atau mana-mana saluran komunikasi yang dianggap sesuai.
