The Rules

• Public Utility Commission of Texas Substantive Rules:

– PUC Rule 25.211 General Description– PUC Rule 25.212 Technical Requirements

• Size Range: up to 10 MW

• Voltage Range: 120 Volts to 34,500 Volts

• Generator Types: Solar Panels, Wind Turbines, Fuel Cells, Micro-Turbines, Reciprocating Engines, Turbines

• Generator Fuels: Gas, Solar, Wind, Diesel, Bio-Diesel

• Intended Use: Net Metered or Export

The Process

• DG equipment is reviewed for technical compliance.

• Studies are performed to determine CNP system impacts.

• CNP system modifications are developed (w/estimates).

• DG provides payment for CNP system modifications.

• CNP completes modifications while DG installs equipment.

• DG site inspections/approvals are performed.

• DG signs interconnection agreement and is allowed to operate.

• DG performance and addresses issues as necessary.
