2 Recognition of marketing communications

Make sure people know that it’s an advert, as well as including all logos, slogans and images from the company.

3 Misleading Adverts You can’t include any lies about the product. For example you can’t say that the product is able to do something that it can’t do.

4 Harm and Offence You’re advert can’t intentionally offend a person or a group of people. Including through disturbing images and content. For example a Ford Ka advert included a pigeon being harmed.

Layout Plan

Including the Coca-Cola logo so the advert is recognisable as a Coca-Cola advert.

Taste The Feeling

Including the slogan of Coca-Cola.

Including an image of the actual product, so people know what they’re buying.

Background of a Coca-Cola branded building.

A nature background (of snow), as well as it being recoloured to slightly red as this is the company colour.

Layout Plan

• Strengths of using this method– Gives you a way to piece together images.

• Weaknesses of using this method– Can be confusing and messy with too many

images, and images in bad places.• Did you like using this method? Why?– Not as much as others, as I feel a mood board is a

better alternative that is slightly similar.

Informal Pitch

• Strengths of using this method– Easy to get used to presenting as it is you presenting

information, as well as knowing things that there are to improve.

• Weaknesses of using this method– Can sometimes struggle with some points as you do not

quite understand it entirely, making it hard to explain.• Did you like using this method? Why?– Yes, as it gave an easy way of finding feedback for the

unfinished piece of work, giving you time to readjust the work with this feedback.

Initial Reaction

• I believe making the advergame will be good, I have the idea similar to the pong game, but instead of the simple format of pong, it uses a Coca-Cola can and deflecting it away from the goals (at the side). The goals will also be in the shape of a mouth, meaning you’re deflecting the Coca-Cola from being drunk by the other person.

Initial Reaction

• Strengths of using this method– Easy way to get your first ideas down.– Can improve on original ideas.

• Weaknesses of using this method– First thoughts may not be the best thoughts.

• Did you like using this method? Why?– Yes, as it is a good way to get down the initial

ideas you have, and may otherwise forget.
