FINDINGS FROM YEAR 1 ASSESSMENT2009/2010

County-wide we found that CTE programs which had direct support in the areas of curriculum development, professional development, financial resources, personnel support, etc. scored higher in more elements than those CTE programs that did not have direct support.

County-wide 44% of CTE programs assessed had Career Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) or leadership skills embedded in the curriculum. Both are major components of the Student Support and Student Leadership Element.

FINDINGS FROM YEAR 1 ASSESSMENT2009/2010

County-wide 63% of the CTE programs assessed had in-depth partnerships with business/industry and other educational institutions.

County-wide 56% of the CTE programs assessed used a formal process, including CST scores, Perkins data, and comprehensive assessments, to evaluate and continuously improve CTE programs.

FINDINGS FROM YEAR 1 ASSESSMENT2009/2010

County-wide 60% of the CTE programs assessed had opportunities available for students to participate in work-based learning activities, internships and other career exploration activities

County-wide 89% of the CTE programs included career activities within their curriculum and lesson plans

County-wide there is a need to validate all CBED numbers assigned to CTE programs
