An Interactive Autostereoscopic Display

Using a Holographic Optical Element

• No glasses or other viewing aides.• Uses a holographic optical element (HOE)

as a projection screen for number of digital projectors.

• Access to the image.

3

Purpose

• To be used by a small group of people discussing or demonstrating digital 3D models

• Allows normal eye contact between the users

”Virtual Reality?”

• In some cases it is more useful to bring virtual objects to the real world than to enter a virtual world.

5

Characteristics

• A small group of viewers (3 – 4) should see the image simultaneously

• Objects in the image can be moved interactively

• Haptic interaction is being adapted to the display

• Monochrome images (color is possible)• Good contrast• Sharp images.• Very bright – no need to dim the lights in

the room.• Scalable
