Sleekline is a monolithic polycarbonate canopy system. Panels are offered in 102 colors and 3 different finishes
offering various levels of visibility and light diffusion. These options provide boundless design possibilities.
What is Sleekline?
Unique FeaturesPanels run continuous from end to end without any mullions
or glazing channels for easy water flow and visual continuity.
Our easy water flow system has no end channel.
Our easy water flow system allows for the canopy
to be constructed with a minimum pitch of 1/2:12.
Canopies are fully tested and can be designed to withstand
any loading requirement.
Irregular shapes such as fan shapes are easy and affordable.
Polycarbonate will not shatter and has 250 times
the impact strength of glass, creating a safer
environment and lower maintenance costs.
The canopy system stands up to its name,
maintaining a sleek leading edge detail with no
raised battens.
Structural span options provide choices and
design flexibility.
Design CriteriaPanels are 2 feet wide.
All architectural finishes are available.
Panel thicknesses are 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2”.
Base channel options for greater spans.
Single panel lengths up to 40 feet.

Seattle’s Cultures Converge Beneath Duo-Gard’s Sleekline Canopy
A rainbow of races from Latino to African American to Native American to Asian is served by
El Centro de la Raza in Seattle. Since its founding in 1972, this multi-cultural agency has aimed to
build unity across social and economic sectors.
Recent renovation of its historic buildings include a performance piazza at the south entrance,
created by a custom cantilevered canopy engineered by Duo-Gard. The fan-shaped 476-square-foot
Sleekline canopy, supported by columns and framed in black anodized aluminum, features glazing of
3/8” clear monolithic polycarbonate.
"We wanted people to see through the roof and view the buildings,” says architect Laila Montenegro,
who headed the design team from 7 Directions Architects/Planners. "The canopy stands out
aesthetically as it provides a protective covering for the many community gatherings and
performances we anticipate. It has become the heart of this project.”

Airport’s New Entrance Canopy Reflects Rolling Hills of Eastern Iowa
Located amid fields of corn and soybeans, The Eastern Iowa Airport outside Cedar Rapids has an
impressive past and a progressive future. Yet it hadn’t had a major modernization since 1980. That
changed in June 2014 when a multi-million-dollar renovation began.
Led by the Minneapolis office of Mead & Hunt, a national architecture – engineering – consulting
firm, Phase 1 was completed in early 2015. It focused on the airport’s front façade, which is now
visually anchored by an undulating 453-foot canopy that integrates a translucent glazing system
engineered by Duo-Gard Industries Inc.
"The canopy is an important element. When you fly into Cedar Rapids, you see a landscape of rolling
hills. We wanted to reflect this in our canopy design,” said Matt Dubbe, AIA LEED AP and National
Market Leader for Architecture. Dubbe and Mitchell Walker, Associate AIA, wanted their design to
evoke the region’s agricultural heritage and actual topography.
