Status quo:• NL: many get permanent jobs; many need

working experience• RU: situation for young graduates very

difficult; job agency - pays one year if jobs for three years;

• F: possibility of getting a job depends on parents and their education and possibilities

Status quo:• GB: inequality in favour of males; strict

labour laws high prevalence of unsecured jobs - some permanent positions but fewer than before; cut backs in academic posts create very serious problems, with highly educated young people making their training

Status quo:• Even in universities or in government

institutions there are only one year contracts: no maternity leave; no pension rights; no unemployments security

• problematic for women due to anticipated breaks in employment to child rear

temporary employment very long• GB: some permanent positions but fewer

practical experience in the curriculum?• Better level of childcare • More concentration on technical subjects for

female students• A kind of white paper procedure

time jobs; you can negotiate with employer

• FL: birthrates fear of being left alone• Sometimes attractive to young people• unproductivity because of constant

searching for a new job
