Dear Friends
Reading through your mails this month it seems that there is one resounding theme and that is the issue of transition. In various aspects of your social, professional or even behavioural lives, you have experienced changes; be they promotion, change of job or travel. We decided therefore to find out why and understand why these things are occurring at this time. We think we might have just found a plausible reason; we will call it the chemistry of the equinoxes.
The equinox occurs twice a year (around 20 March and 22 September), when the tilt of the Earth's axis is inclined neither away from nor towards the Sun, the centre of the Sun being in the same plane as the Earth's equator. The term equinox can also be used in a broader sense, meaning the date when such a passage happens and that is when the sun changes its course.
When this occurs, , a radical change occurs in its electromagnetic vibration and thus opens a new cycle, not only for nature as can be seen with the change in the seasons but also with human beings which generates change in moods, changes in pre-ar-ranged social actions.
Through our limited research we found out that the first annual cycle opened by the springtime equinox is likely material in effect whereas the second cycle opened by the autumnal equinox is more spiritual in nature.
Well friends, do a little research on your own and see how these forces have affected you and for those of you who have no clue as to why certain things happen the way they do, this might just be your answer.
One thing is sure, despite all these changes, life goes on and your favourite Enjoy Magazine continues to bring to you the happenings around our country.
..Enjoy

he Brazilian Ambassador to Ghana, Ms Irene Vida Gala, hosted a cocktail at her residence (known as the “Yellow
house”) to celebrate the 190th birthday of the Independence of Brazil. The Ambassador and the Deputy Head of Mission, Ms. Lara Lobo Monteiro, welcomed all the diplomatic missions and Ghanaian business men and women to the event. The Ambassador offered her guests some Brazilian delicacies such as “bobó de camarão” a dish of shrimp in a purée of manioc, “coixinha de frango” (chicken drumsticks) and “pão de queijo” (cheese balls).
In her address, Ms Gala emphasized that “Ghana has actually been one of Brazil’s most traditional partners not only in West Africa, but in the whole African continent. In fact, long before Ghana's independence, our ancient links were established, as some freed slaves and their descendants returned from Brazil and made Ghana their new homeland. These people - the "Tabom" people, whose Chief I am very happy to have present at this occasion tonight, have since then brought out the name and traditions of Brazil on this side of the Atlantic.

development projects in Ghana.

our own parents will agree: parenting is no longer, what it used to be. Parenting these days has changed so much, and
the reason is no other than the changing times. So naturally, parenting skills of the past are no longer suitable for the 21st century, and in the end, the ones who suffer are the children, who are thrust out into a world they have not been prepared for.
Parents in the 21st century have to deal with issues in child rearing that parents from 50 years ago had not even heard of. Some obvious manifestations of changes between the past and the present are the significance of the digital world to today’s society. Mobile phones, tablets, and computers together cause major societal impact that has an undeniable effect on the way children think, act, and communicate. This is just one example why parents have a bigger responsibility in the 21st century: they simply have more ground to cover.
The Mobile Phone Issue. With mobile phones becoming more important, parents should be able to teach their children how to properly use and control them. Many parents face the same problems regarding mobile phones: they often
find their children using their mobile phones too much or for the wrong reasons. It is therefore the parents’ responsibility to determine just how they want their children to use mobile phones.
The Social Networking Issue. Social networking has taken the world by storm, and now children live two lives in two different worlds: the real world and the digital world. There is, however, no line that restricts parents from being able to influence and teach their children even in the digital world. Parents should make it a point to stay up to date with technology just so they can be aware of the potential threats posed to their children and how they can protect their children from them.
These are just some of the common issues parents and children in the 21st century face. The 21st century is already complicated and fast-paced enough as it is, and it is bound to move and change at a greater speed. For children to become successful in this highly competitive and still growing society, parents have to begin the work early on in the lives of their children.
In a competitive and fast-paced environment, children have to be taught how to think and act the right way. This is the sole responsibility of parents.

“There is, however, no line that restricts

Here are what you have to teach your 21st century children:1. How to detect problems and solve/avoid them2. How to identify opportunities and grab them3. How to make decisions and proceed with them confidently4. How to adapt to various situations5. How to find their uniqueness6. How important learning isIn the past, parents focused on teaching children how to work and make money. Now, parents of the 21st century have to teach their children how to survive and thrive in a competitive world. It is no longer enough to make money.

» 2 large oranges» 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil» 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice» 1/2 cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley» 2 scallions, finely sliced» 3 tablespoons chopped fresh mint leaves» 2 tablespoons capers, rinsed, drained and coarsely chopped» 2 tablespoons orange zest» 1 teaspoon lemon zest» 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
Ingredients» 1/4 cup simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water boiled together until sugar melts)
» 2 limes, juiced
» 12 fresh mint leaves, plus mint sprigs for garnish
» 4 ounces white rum
» 2 cups crushed ice
Directions 1. Peel and trim the ends from each orange. Using a paring knife, cut along the membrane on both sides of each segment. Free the segments and add them to a medium bowl
2. Add the olive oil, lemon juice, parsley, scallions, mint, capers, orange zest, lemon zest, and red pepper flakes. Toss lightly and season with salt and pepper, to taste. Set aside.
3. Put a grill pan over medium-high heat or preheat a gas or charcoal grill. Brush the grilling rack with vegetable oil to keep the salmon from sticking. Brush the salmon on both sides with the agave nectar and season with salt and pepper, to taste. Grill until the fish flakes easily and is cooked through, about 3 to 4 minutes on each side. Transfer the salmon to a platter and allow to rest for 5 minutes.
Spoon the salsa verde on top of the salmon or serve on the side as an accompaniment.
Directions Combine simple syrup, lime juice and mint leaves in a blender and blend until combined. Add the rum and crushed ice and blend until frothy. Pour into 2 rocks glasses and garnish with mint sprigs.

Aries21/3-20/04
Taurus21/4-21/05
While your larger focus this month is likely to be your intimate life, dear Aries, you have opportunities to transform a professional dream into a reality. You can feel especially inspired by a work project, and while physical energy may not be at its highest, inspiration can motivate you to do more. Plant a seed around the 5th. You would do well to organize your finances and to get a stronger sense of where you stand in terms of debt to and support from others, as circumstances are such that you will be needing to face reality about these matters in the next while.
This is a potentially excellent month for communicating with special people in your life, dear Taurus. You enjoy increased personal charisma. You are more playful and communicative than usual. Nevertheless, there can be some challenges this month with shared resources - money owed and/or shared with a partner. As well, you are entering a long-term cycle in which relationships go through some tests. To commit or not to commit? That is the question! This cycle lasts until 2015, but for now, easy and friendly energy is with you for partnering.
Freer, more creative, and forward-looking energy is with you in October, dear Gemini. Mid-month brings strong opportunities to begin anew, whether this is creatively or romantically. Your social life looks excellent this month. While there can be some ups and downs, your love life is sure to be animated in October. Long-standing problems come up to the surface for resolution. As sociable as the month can be, a period of hard work is ahead with Saturn monitoring your sector of work, health, and routines now and until 2015.

Capricorn22/12-20/01
Cancer22/6-23/07
Excellent energy is with you this month for romantic and creative expression, dear Cancer. Conversations feed your feeling of being loved and appreciated. Communication is the key to happiness in love in October. Nevertheless, you are entering a long-term cycle in which commitment can become a big issue. Relationships that don't live up to their potential are likely to be questioned, particularly around the 24-25 this month, but also as a general theme going forward. Love becomes serious, hobbies can turn into work, and there may be fewer avenues for entertainment open to you. Family pressures and difficulties around the home are decreasing now.
Good energy is with you for pursuing your heart's desire this month, dear Leo, particularly after the 7th. Romance can be challenging at times, but also stimulating. A long-term influence starts in October that can bring new responsibilities and structure to your family and home life. Domestic matters require more serious thought, self-discipline, and organization. Some of you could realize a home-owning dream, although new responsibilities and pressures come along with it. Learning endeavors are highly favored this month. New interests emerge, and you're extra motivated to learn, communicate, and share your knowledge.
October is a generally stabilizing month for you, dear Virgo, particularly when it comes to relationships or your attitude towards partnership. Both casual and committed relationships can thrive this month. Venus graces your sign most of October, and this serves to enhance your natural charm and beauty. You're turning heads, particularly around the 9-10, and it's not only for your personal magnetism - your brains get attention as well. Make a few wishes, dare to say them aloud, and expect results. Saturn's entry into Scorpio this month is generally good news for you.
Saturn leaving your sign this month, dear Libra, can bring about a feeling that a heavy weight has been lifted. You're likely to be more outgoing than you have been for some time. Ideally, you've built strength and balance in your life since 2009, when Saturn first entered your sign. Confidence now comes from a stronger sense of reality. The 15-16 brings strong energy for starting fresh and reinventing yourself. You'll receive all the support you need. This month, work and money matters are strong. You're finding motivation and inspiration to pursue your goals. Being especially realistic about your capabilities and talents right now is important and can help prevent you from overextending yourself.
Get extra rest and avoid pushing yourself this month, dear Scorpio, with Saturn entering your sign (where it will transit until 2015), and the Sun in your privacy sector until the 22nd. You're likely to sense that you need more time for rest and reflection, and it's wise to listen to your inner signals. Nevertheless, there is no need to cut yourself off from others. This month, strong benefits come from your social life. Connect with friends and groups, but know also when to draw the line. Some of you will be making an important romantic connection this month. It's a time for keeping a lower profile and working on solid, long-term goals. Getting your life into order is the focus now.
From the 7th forward, you have strong energy to get out and really experience life, dear Sagittarius. Your personal magnetism is strong, and your ability to ask for what you want without apology is increased. You can find new forums for creativity and self-expression. Avoid impatience, however. Focusing on your desires is appropriate now, but avoid overdoing this. You thrive when you can set your own pace and work independently. This month, family and home goals can be realized. A loan could come through, for example, that allows you to make home improvements.
Both work and your social life are likely to demand your attention this month, dear Capricorn. From the 7th forward, however, be sure to get extra rest and down time. Decisions may be more difficult to make, and you could be wrestling with some, so allow yourself extra time to draw conclusions. October is a strong month overall for goal-making, communications, and learning. With Saturn's entry into Scorpio, you'll find that your goals are shifting, and that you are ready to take on challenges. You can accomplish a great deal with minimal stress. The New Moon mid-month provides you with a new start and renewed perspective on your professional and public life.
This is an important month for your career, dear Aquarius. You're likely to uncover new goals and attitudes, and you are likely to work hard at achieving some of your more realistic dreams. You are entering a long-term cycle that will be with you until 2015 in which you are likely to reassess your career and standing, realigning your attitudes to better serve your purpose. Circumstances conspire to remind you of the importance of structure, responsibility, and reputation in your life. Many of you will be making changes in the coming years so that your career path better reflects the principles closest to your heart. Nevertheless, your social life is likely to be especially active in October.
You are entering a period in your life in which getting organized is a priority, and easier than usual, dear Pisces. Meeting your responsibilities also comes more naturally this month. This month, putting an end to a bad habit and creating a plan to help reduce debt are both highly favored, especially around the 15-16. Money is at a peak this month. Take advantage by asking for a raise, making a long-term investment, or going over your budget, but avoid the 3rd, 7-8, and 29th, when it can be difficult to get what you want. Relationships receive a nice boost in October. You're likely to be dealing with kind and helpful people, and your own hospitality is recognized and appreciated.

Appearancehold your glass up to the light and check for clarity, cloudiness or colour and match those up with the style of beer you are drinking . Club beer should be golden and clear.
TasteAfter completing the steps listed above, taste the beer by taking a small mouthful and breathing in slightly as you taste the beer. This will open up all your senses and let you get a complete picture of what you are tasting. In the proper glass, the beer should hit your tongue denoting bitter and sweet flavours on the parts of your mouth that can discern hose tastes. Take a second taste and swish the beer around in your mouth slightly to move the beer across all your flavor sensing areas.
Mouth FeelBy tasting beer, you should be able to determine the mouth feel. Some beers have a heavy, almost oily mouth feel to them, while other beers are light and dry and offer very little by way of mouth feel. Becoming familiar with beer styles will help you determine what type of mouth feel is common with each style.
FinishSome beers finish with a sweet, pleasant after taste, while other beers finish bitter and even dry.
When you taste your beer and swallow it, ask yourself what it leaves behind? What’s
the last thing you taste? With a sweeter finish, you’ll end up with a sharper leftover taste impression in the front of your mouth, while with a bitter beer, you’ll taste it more in the back of the mouth. With a dry finish, it will leave very little in the way of taste residue, especially overly sweet tastes. dry usually denotes the absence of sweet.
AromaI like to leave a little room at the top of a bowl-shaped beer glass in order to swish the beer around and create more aroma. Whichever way you aerate the beer, you’ll want to have some room to stick your nose down in there and give it a good smell. Look for beer smells like malt, yeast, alcohol and hops. Identify unique and signature smell.

Eat while you drinkIt is particularly good to eat high protein foods such as cheese and peanuts, which help to slow the absorption of alcohol into the circulatory system.
Cultivate tasteEnjoy your drink, don’t rush it. If you gulp a drink you will be losing the pleasure of tasting and smelling the various flavours in the drink.
Accept a drink only when you really want oneAt a party if someone is trying to force another drink on you, ask for ice or drink a non-alcoholic beverage.
Skip a drink now and thenSpace your alcoholic drinks out to keep the desired blood alcohol concentration.
Appoint a designated driverhave someone available who will not be drinking and will drive all drinkers home. This is critical if the person has consumed more than one drink per hour. If you know that you will have to drive after consuming alcohol, limit your consumption to no more than one drink an hour.
Know your limit If you do not already know how much alcohol you can handle without losing control, try it out one time at home with a friend present and have them videotape you, then see what happens when you consume more than the recommended one drink per hour.
