INJURY UPDATE: INF Ketel Marte fractured his left thumb on May 31 vs. Round Rock and was placed on the disabled list on June 1…Mwas injured running the bases, stopped suddenly and put his hand down to get his balance. Marte hit safely in 42 of 51 games this season 19 multi-hit contest, batting .343 (68x198) with 30 runs scored, 10 doubles, 1 triple, 2 home runs, 24 RBI, 18 walks and 17 stolen bases. Atime of his injury (through game on May 31), Marte led the PCL in average (.343/68x198), games (51) and hits (68), while ranking 2nd in stbases (17) and at-bats (198) and 3rd in lowest TPA/SO ratio (11.05).
