THE IMPERATIVE El imperativo
La forma imperativa del verbo se usa para dar indicaciones. Lee
las siguientes oraciones. Fjate que comienzan todas directamente
con un verbo.
Las oraciones en las que se da una orden o instruccin comienzan,
por lo general, sin un pronombre sujeto; a veces, sin embargo,
pueden comenzar con el nombre de la persona a la que me estoy

5 PRONUNCIATION TIPS Ahora es el momento de mejorar la
pronunciacin. Escucha atentamente
las explicaciones del DVD
En esta unidad vamos a estudiar la pronunciacin de la consonante
r.
El sonido /r/ en ingls es diferente del sonido de la letra r en
espaol.
Se lo debe pronunciar de una manera mucho ms suave. Para darnos
una idea, es similar a la r que pronunciamos en espaol cuando
decimos aro o mira. La punta de la lengua nunca debe tocar la
cavidad de la boca, sino que se curva hacia atrs.

Recuerdas que aprendimos cmo expresar opiniones con el verbo
think en la primera parte de Grammar File? Tambin hay otras maneras
de hacerlo.
Los verbos believe y feel pueden usarse tambin para dar una
opinin. Pueden ir seguidos de la palabra that, que signi ca en este
caso, que.
I believe that shes too young to get married. - Yo creo que ella
es muy joven para casarse.
I feel that hes not telling the true. - Yo creo que l no est
diciendo la verdad.
I believe that theyll understand. - Creo que entendern.
