Studies carried out by scientists from the Instituteof Forensic Genetics at the University ofCopenhagen have concluded that all blue-eyedpeople share a common ancestor, someone wholived 6,000 to 10,000 years ago near the areaby the Black sea. Researchers analyzed and compared the uniquegenetic make-up of the chromosomes in the irisfrom 155 blue-eyed individuals from diverseregions such as Denmark, Turkey and Jordan.

 All of the subjects that participated in the study

No it says both parents must have theblue eyrd genes. My son has blondehair, blue eyes but neither me nor myhusband have blonde hair or blueeyes. My dad has blonde hair blueeyes and fair skin so we figure that'swhere he gets it from. My husbandsmom also had blue eyes. So there is ablue eyed gene on both sides.
