Please remember that in hot weather beaches may not bethe ideal place to take your dog. Due to the lack of shadeor inadequate fresh water, your dog may suffer from heatrelated problems.
If you are concerned about any dog welfare issue, such asa dog left in a car during hot weather, please contact theRSPCA on 0300 1234999 24 hour service (calls atBT national rates).
Please note that The Dogs (Fouling of Land) Act 1996 and The Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005 apply. Beaches are the most common areas patrolled byofficers enforcing the above Act and fixed penalty noticesare issued on a regular basis, so please pick up after yourdog and where available use the dog waste bins provided.
