3DiTeams Teamwork and Communication/ Handovers Project Funded Dr. Jeff Taekman was awarded unrestricted medical education grants totaling $750,000 from Pfizer and Abbott to support a project focused on improving clinical handovers. A broad range of departmental, institutional, and extramural collaborators will work together to improve healthcare professional competence and performance. The simulation- based initiative features a multi-modal educational strategy (including the use of virtual environments as well as in-situ observation / coaching). June 7-8, 2012 Intercontinental Chicago O’Hare Hotel Rosemont, IL The fourth annual AAMC Integrating Quality Meeting has been planned in partnership with the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), the Ameri- can Dental Education Association (ADEA), the Association of Schools of Public Health (ASPH), and the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA). This unique program will focus on strategies for implementing interprofessional and integrative approaches to quality improvement and patient safety across the continuum of health professions education and clinical care in academic health centers.
