We have expanded our product range to feature a 90° shoulder milling system with eight usable cutting edges. With the development of the MaxiMill 491, new avenues have been explored technologically. As a result, a new shoulder milling system was born – and one that not only distinguishes itself in its easy handling.

1. Product presentationThe MaxiMill 491 shoulder milling system produces exact 90° profiles. Precision in-serts produced with tolerance H in the BLACKSTARTM and SILVERSTARTM grades guarantee outstanding axial and radial run-out, long tool life and high-quality surfaces. The tools with irregular pitch and perfectly adapted approach angles ensure reduced vibration and a smooth cut. The milling system is suitable for both finishing as well as roughing operations. As the approach angle is exactly 90° and very good surfaces can be achieved, no additional machining operation is necessary. Just as with the insert having eight cutting edges, this is a major reason why the MaxiMill 491 shoulder milling system is exceptionally economical.

6. Product launchThe MaxiMill 491 90° shoulder milling system extends the product range of Cutting Solutions by CERATIZIT. The product launch will begin with the 12 mm sized inserts and includes the 32 – 160 mm nominal diameter range (SNHU 1204...). Tool holders for shell milling cutters, end mills and milling cutters with threaded shank in metric sizing are available with immediate effect. The shell milling cutters are available with a wide or narrow pitch.
