0117 Authority code?Faktaansvarig - Subject responsible

ASB 150 02

SEA/EBMP M. Plattner SEA/EBBX

SEA/EBMP (T. Preissner)

COMMAND DESCRIPTION

0117Authority code?

This command is used to state whether the extension has access to the facility “authorisation” (authority) code.

The authorisation code facility is used to reduce or increase the possibilities to call from a telephone.

It consists of the following functions:

• Activation (“Locking” the telephone)

• Deactivation (“Opening” the telephone)

• Temporary deactivation (Temporary opening)

• Temporary deactivation from another telephone (Use of own categories for itinerant call from another telephone.)

• Change of authorisation code

Extension procedures are used to call these functions. For all functions except activation it is necessary to state an authorisation code. See “Directions for Use” for extensions for more information.

When an extension is assigned this facility, i.e. when the value N is altered to Y, the extension will automatically receive authorisation code 0000. The extension user should, without delay, alter the code to a secret value.

On activation commands 2019-2022 Abbreviated number COS at authority code determine the extension's possibilities to initiate calls.

On temporary deactivation the external number category for the day (command 0103 TCD-day COS) is also used when the PABX is switched for night service.

This command is also used to control access to the DISA system.

The default password (#*72*) has to be changed prior to get access to the DISA system.

Valid data: Yes /No (default)

Minimum required authority level from telephone: 1

Accessible via BMS/RASC: Yes

0118Guest extension?

In hotels the extensions are divided into guest extensions and service extensions.

This command states whether the extension shall be a guest extension (Y) or a service extension (N).

As a rule guest extensions are assigned special telephones. They have access to facilities such as wake-up and do not disturb, but not to facilities such as follow-me and information.

For guest extensions the PICKUP-key is used for the wake-up function. Consequently, for guest extensions, command 0301 Function of programmable key cannot be used to alter the function of the PICKUP-key.

For other hotel commands see command group 80.

It is not possible for an extension to be both a guest extension and a data extension at the same time.

ASB 150 02

SEA/EBMP M. Plattner SEA/EBBX

SEA/EBMP (T. Preissner)

COMMAND DESCRIPTION

0121DTMF to instrument?

There exist peripheral (external) units that can be connected to an extension position and be controlled by DTMF-tones. An entry phone is an example.

This command is used to determine whether digits dialled by the call partner can be transmitted as DTMF-tones to the connected unit.

Valid data: Yes /No (default)

Minimum required authority level from telephone: 1

Accessible via BMS/RASC: Yes

0122Long ring bursts?

To enable extension users to differentiate between external calls, internal calls and callbacks, different ringing signals can be sent to the extensions. To facilitate ringing signal differentiation, the ring bursts are interrupted. (Single ringing signal, double ringing signal etc).

Units such as modem and recorded announcement machines require the ring bursts to have a certain length for the ringing signal to be detected.

Consequently, if such units are connected to extension positions with analogue telephones, the ringing signal will not always be detected, if interrupted ring bursts are transmitted.

This command is used to state whether ringing to a connected unit shall always utilise long ring bursts.

Valid data:

The command also influences ringing to digital extensions.

ASB 150 02

SEA/EBMP M. Plattner SEA/EBBX

SEA/EBMP (T. Preissner)

COMMAND DESCRIPTION

0123Repeated call diversion?

Diversion on no reply means that incoming calls to an extension will be diverted to a predetermined divertee (answer) position unless they are answered within a predetermined time. See command 0110 Diversion on no reply? for more information.

The system offers extension supervision with call pickup with the help of programmable keys. See command 0301 Function of programmable key.

Call diversion on no reply is normally not permitted if the call is already diverted. In cases where it is not possible to utilise programmable keys for call diversion (interception) it may nevertheless be desirable with repeated call diversion.

This command is used to state whether calls to the extension may be diverted on no reply despite the fact that they have already been diverted.

If several extensions are assigned this possibility, this may result in long diversion chains.

0146Meter info allowed on display?

The command defines whether or not own or other extensions shall have access to the extensions’ metering information.

For all external calls metering information is stored in memory. The information then can be read (and displayed) e.g. by dialling procedure code *45# (accumulated metering information) or *46# (metering information for latest call). It is possible to read both metering information for own extension as well as metering information for other extensions.

In order to get access to a certain extension metering information, two parameters must be fulfilled:

• The calling party (calling e.g. *45#) must have an ACOS that permits access to own metering information or that of others. Note that there is one facility access command for reading “own” metering information (command 3075 Read own meter) and another command for reading metering information (command 3076 Read other’s meter) of others.

• The called party must permit (command 0146 Meter info allowed on display?) the metering information to be read.

0147 Type of meter infoFaktaansvarig - Subject responsible

ASB 150 02

SEA/EBMP M. Plattner SEA/EBBX

SEA/EBMP (T. Preissner)

COMMAND DESCRIPTION

0147Type of meter info

Select type of metering information to be displayed.

During EXTERNAL calls it is possible to display different types of metering information, such as “Money”, “Pulses”, “Duration” etc. For incoming external calls “Duration” is always selected unless the function is disabled.

The information is displayed either when a menu key is pressed or automatically. “Automatically” means that the selected type of metering information is displayed without first pressing a menu key, and that the metering information is automatically updated during the call. If the function is disabled when the call is initiated, it can be temporarily enabled by pressing a menu key, see command 0148 Automatic display of metering info? for more details.

If selected metering information is not available, nearest “lower” information is displayed.

Example: If value 3 is programmed but the cost in local currency is not available, the number of metering pulses is displayed instead.

Valid data

Minimum required authority level from telephone: 1

Accessible via BMS/RASC: Yes

0 display nothing (function disabled)

1 display duration of call

2 display number if metering pulses

3 (default) display real cost in local currency

0148Automatic display of metering info?

Enable/disable automatic display of metering information.

During EXTERNAL calls it is possible to display different types of metering information such as ”Money”, “Pulses”, “Duration” etc. The type of information to be displayed is selected with command 0147 Type of meter info. Command 0148 Automatic display of metering info? defines the default state for displaying information when a new outgoing call is initiated.

Two states are possible:

Automatically:

When a new external call is initiated/answered, the display is automatically and repeatedly updated with the type of metering information selected by command 0147 Type of meter info.

Not automatically:

When a new external call is initiated/answered, the display is NOT updated automatically with metering information.

Irrespective of state, the cost information can be enabled/disabled with help of a menu key. The menu key has a toggle function and can be pressed several times during a call. The temporary selection is kept during the current call but when the next call is initiated, the default state selected with command 0148 Automatic display of metering info? will override the temporary selection.

0149 Number secrecy to public network?Faktaansvarig - Subject responsible

ASB 150 02

SEA/EBMP M. Plattner SEA/EBBX

SEA/EBMP (T. Preissner)

COMMAND DESCRIPTION

0149Number secrecy to public network?

The system via “smart” external lines (ISDN etc.) offers the opportunity to send its own number to the external party, to be presented at the display of the external party. In ISDN terminology this is called CLIP (Calling Line Identification Presentation) and COLP (COnnected Line identification Presentation). With this command it is possible to PREVENT our number to be displayed at the display of the external party. In ISDN terminology this is called CLIR (Calling Line Identification Restriction) and COLR (COnnected Line identification Restriction).

The command has nothing to do with presentation of the number of the external party on our own display. The restriction for that always comes directly from the external party.

Valid data:

Minimum required authority level from telephone: 1

Accessible via BMS/RASC: Yes

Yes Presentation restricted (CLIR/COLR) at external party

No (default) Presentation allowed (CLIP/COLP) at external party

0150Individual charging?

This command states how an extension should be charged in case of an external call.

Information about the way of charging and the extension number is sent to the public exchange when applicable.

The public exchange determines whether common or individual charging is applied for the call.

Valid data:

Minimum required authority level from telephone: No

Accessible via BMS/RASC: Yes

Yes (default) Individual charging

No Common charging
