Task: This is to study the images provided, carry out further research into Gaudi’s style of architecture & design and reflect upon the artist’s background, his style and his reasons & motives behind his ideas/works.

The style of Gaudi- color, shape, form, pattern and common features

• He found lots of images in the natures, such as animals, sun, moon, pin wheel, benches and park.

• He used different colors with irregular tiles.• He had an unique pattern which has mixed color,

bright and interesting textures.

His interests, ideas, reasons for his style or works

• He lived in Spain and he had the movement called Mosaic in late 19th century to early 20th century.

• This Mosaic style had shared with other artists and one of the famous architecture can be found at the Güell Park in Barcelona, Spain.

Compare his architecture against others. - Gaudi’s uniqueness

• At that time, all the buildings were dark, grey and has old textures.

• They had same structure, simple shape, boring impression and no difference finding among many buildings.

• On the other hand, Gaudi used lots of different patterns and colors. His works were all different and had many images from the nature.
