WakeMed went RED on February 6in celebration of our successfulEpic implementation and in honorof National Wear Red Day.
National Wear Red Day – heldevery year during American HeartMonth – is an opportunity to showsupport for the men and women atWakeMed who providecompassionate care and service toour heart patients and theirfamilies. This year, National WearRed Day fell during our first weekof Epic implementation, whichexceeded all expectations. Whatbetter way to celebrate thissuccessful milestone than byshowing our WakeMed pride andwearing our best reds!

Our journey is nearly done,
At times it has even been fun.
Now Epic is here,
So everyone cheer!
Our patients are those who have won!
Honorable Mention
By Trish Schuman(Pathology Labs – Apex Healthplex)
The imminent prospect of Epic,
Has made some of us quite dyspeptic,
But despite all the fuss,
I am sure all of us,
Will be in the end synergetic.
