SGA Food Drive - Nov 17-Dec 7: Students, don't forget to spread the word to your classmates about the Pre-College Programs’ Food Drive.  Students will be collecting canned goods and non-perishable items until December 7th.  Make sure your school does its part to help those in need.  All we ask is that you use your connections through social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) to spread the word throughout your school and make sure your box is full.  The winning school will receive special recognition at the Saturday Academy assembly on December 8th.

PCP Recipe Book: Submissions Due Nov 29: The Pre-College Programs Fundraising Committee is sponsoring a cookbook fundraiser for the holidays!  We are asking each family to submit at least two recipes that represent their family's cultural heritage or traditions. We also request that students submit pictures of themselves participating in Upward Bound activities.

Recipes should be submitted to [email protected] or [email protected].   Photos may also be submitted to either email addresses or uploaded directly to Facebook at www.facebook.com/upward.bound.56027.

All submissions must be in by November 29 to meet our target delivery date of December 8.

Cookbook orders will be taken at the parent meeting and student assembly on December 1.  Cookbook prices are 1 for $15.00 and 2 for $25.00.

The success of this venture depends on the participation of our Upward Bound family so please share your recipes and traditions with us!

Parent Association – Get Involved & Earn Service Hours

The Parent Association has developed four committees for the 2012-2013 academic year. Each committee needs parent support; even if you cannot attend every committee meeting, your assistance can be utilized.

The majority of parent service opportunities will be available through the committees.  Parent service hours will be earned through committee-sponsored activities and monitored by the chairs of each committee. Each week, the Program Support Committee will record service hours on a master list.
