Springfield School Springfield Newsletter – March 2018 Dear Parents/Carers We have had a busy month in school, with many activities for our pupils and you will see from the many photos that they have enjoyed themselves very much as well as learning some new skills in the process. Tuesday 27 th February Tree Planting Everyone in school took part in the tree planting afternoon. We planted over 50 saplings. The weather may have been cold but it did not put us off!! Thursday 8 th March World Book Day Unfortunately World Book Day on 1 st March was snowed off but it did not stop us enjoying it a week later. We all dressed up as characters from our favourite books and participated in World Book Day activities.

Springfield Newsletter – March 2018Dear Parents/CarersWe have had a busy month in school, with many activities for our pupils and you will see from the many photos that they have enjoyed themselves very much as well as learning some new skills in the process.

Tuesday27 th February

Tree Planting

Everyone in school took part in the tree planting afternoon. We planted over 50 saplings. The weather may have been cold but it did not put us off!!

Thursday8 th March

World Book Day

Unfortunately World Book Day on 1st March was snowed off but it did not stop us enjoying it a week later. We all dressed up as characters from our favourite books and participated in World Book Day activities.

Staff also participated in the activities!!

Bridgend Garden Centre

Butterflies went to Bridgend to look at the lovely spring flowers.

KS2 Visits to Cadburys World

All had a fabulous day at Cadbury’s World. They all returned back with some chocolate but did not share with Miss Rothwell!!

Wednesday 21 st

MarchThe children from Butterflies had lots of fun playing on all the wonderful equipment with their friends.

Beatrice Visits – We have a variety of Beatrice Visits booked – details to follow.

Plastic bottles - please continue to send clean plastic bottles in to school. So far we have used them as bird feeders, plant pots, and hanging herb gardens. With your continued support we hope to soon complete our bottle greenhouse.
