Hi Parent, First off! Thank you so much for checking out the Wave for your teens! We at Torch of Faith are pumped to use the Wave as a chance to help students know they belong to Jesus and the Church. How? By providing them with a chance to build awesome relationships with their peers and leaders! By using our sessions to teach and explain God’s Word in a new way fresh way to each student and by creating a fun entertaining experience! How are we gonna do that? Well I’m glad you asked! The Price That’s everyone’s first thought, right? How much does this cost? Well we want EVERY TEEN who wants to go to be able to go, along with all their friends! So we worked hard to bring the price down as much as possible. Early Bird Special $160 Starts February 4! If you pay the student deposit of $50 before March 4, you’ll get the Early Bird rate of $160. Pay the total amount due by June 15. Regular Price $175 If you pay the student deposit of $50 after March 4, you’ll get the standard rate of $175. Pay the total amount due by June 15.

Parent Meeting We will have a Parent Meeting to help every parent be in the know about the Wave. We will require at least one parent to attend. This way parents will be equipped, aware and informed about the week of the Wave and their child’s involvement before and after. We think the more you know about the Wave the more Jesus can work in the lives of the students because you can keep the conversation going. To make it convenient we will offer 3 meeting options.

Tuesday, June 19 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Torch of FaithSunday, June 24 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm at Torch of FaithMonday, June 25 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Torch of Faith.

Why do we do the Wave? The vision of Level Ground & the Wave both exist to reach as many students as possible, point them to Jesus and teach them how to follow Him step by step.

How do we do the WAVE?Teaching the Bible – To help students understand they Belong.Building Relationships – To help students understand they Belong.Creating Enjoyable Environments – To help students understand they Belong.

HOW DO WE “WAVE”?Room Leader Process

1. We “Wave” by doing an interview process for anyone interested in being a Volunteer Room Leader for the Wave.

a. A Volunteer Room Leader is in charge of 3-4 students for the entirety of the trip. These are called Squads! The squad never leaves each other’s side. For safety reasons and to keep everyone included. They are a key influence on pointing teens to Jesus therefore this interviewing process will be important.

2. We “Wave” by prepping everyone who’s leading the Sessions, sharing God’s Word, leading worship, leading small groups, coordinating Flight Control and meals. Lots of work goes into the planning so everyone is

prepared to see Jesus work and not be distracted by details.3. We “Wave” by creating opportunities for students to work and receive

scholarships to help as many students afford the Wave as possible through Parent’s Night/Day Outs

4. We “Wave” by creating space where students are away from the normal to-do. The normal busy. The normal screens. We want every student to grasp Jesus in a new way and it’s easier to grasp that if we get away from the normal. One way we will do that is by having every student keep his or her phone at home. #nophones #itisgonnabearealparty

Parents will have their student’s Volunteer Room leader’s cell phone number, the “Wave” cell phone number they can call 24/7, and access to Level Ground’s social media account that will be checked on consistently by our Flight Control Director.

5. We “Wave” by being prepared for every response. We will be working hard to make sure you as parents are aware of what we know your students got out of the Wave. So if your student has decided to follow Jesus, wants to get baptized, or signs up to serve, we will keep parents in the loop and apart of the process.
