BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT SPRUCE

Spruces are long-lived, mostly reaching ages of 350 years. It is a large, fast-growing evergreen coniferous tree growing to 35 - 55

m tall and with a trunk diameter of up to 1 -1,5 m. The shoots are orange-brown and glabrous (hairless).

BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT SILVER FIR In our conditions the silver fir is about 400 - 450 years old. It is a large evergreen coniferous tree growing to 40 – 50 m tall and

with a trunk diameter of up to 1,5 m. The largest measured tree was 68 m tall and had a trunk diameter of 3,8 m. It occurs at altitudes of 300-1,700 m , in mountains with a rainfall per year over 1,000 mm.

BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT PINE TREE

Pines are evergreen, coniferous resinous trees growing 3 – 80 m tall, with the majority of species reaching 15 – 45 m tall.

Pines are long-lived, typically reaching ages of 100 – 1,000 years, some even more.
