Electromagne�c compa�bility (EMC) is concerned with the

uninten�onal genera�on, propaga�on and recep�on of

electromagne�c energy which may cause unwanted effects of

electromagne�c interference (EMI) damaging opera�onal

Earthing system is the safety valve of any electrical system that provides low resistance path for fault dissipa�on. It keeps the voltage at low levels during fault condi�ons to save valuable life and high value assets. This study iden�fies the anomalies of the present earthing system in an industry and provide executable solu�ons to overcome the earthing related issues. Lightning is an electrosta�c discharge between cloud to cloud and cloud to ground during a thunder storm. Lightning Protec�on System (LPS) channels high energy through defined path and dissipate it instantaneously. This study helps to iden�fy weakness in the present channel system and help the industry to implement correc�ons and achieve required safety during lightning strikes.

Substa�ons & transmission lines are part of an electrical genera�on, transmission, and distribu�on system. Substa�on components such as CTs, VTs, PTs and ground grid must be tested for the i r per formance dur ing substa�on commissioning. The grounding system in substa�on is very important as it protects the substa�on equipments from surges & lightning strikes and also protect the opera�ng persons. Transmission lines plays important role in power distribu�on.

5. Substation Testing & Study

Transient over-currents and over-voltages are caused by switching opera�ons or lightning strikes to electric facili�es damaging sensi�ve equipments or disrupt opera�on. Our analysis of transient phenomena uses simula�on tools to characterize transient events, determine resul�ng problems, and evaluate possible mi�ga�on alterna�ves. In steady state our analysis involves opera�onal parameter like construc�on, load flow, protec�on coordina�on, power sharing etc.
