About ACTVETAbu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET) was established by the directive of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Executive Council, through Resolution No. 49/2010.
ACTVET aims to boost training and educational opportunities within the
policies related to technical and vocational education and training.
ACTVET provides consultation, educational and training courses to public and private institutions in the Emirate and license vocational and technical institutions in line with applicable laws, regulation and accreditation.

Applied Technology High Schools Applied Technology High Schools offer a four year program that starts
accredited by the Ministry of Education. The Applied Technology High Schools have adopted a career-cluster based technical education where all students study academic core subjects (including Mathematics, Science, Information Technology, English, Arabic and Islamic Studies), and choose one of four career clusters offered in grade 11. The career clusters include Engineering Science, Applied Engineering, Computer Science, and Health Science & Technology.
The Applied Technology High Schools also provide top rank students a fast track to university admission through the “Advanced Science Program”. In

Foundation ProgramThe ADVETI Foundation Program specializes in providing preparatory English Language courses. The Program focuses on a blending learning approach for English Language, Study Skills, Math and Introductory Pathway Subject modules.
The Program is designed to support students in learning and improving their English Language at an academic level and through the preparation of IELTS testing.

YES to WorkUnder the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET) announced “YES to Work” Initiative, in line with “Absher” Initiative that was launched by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, with the objective to provide all means of stability and welfare for UAE citizens by enhancing their participation in the labor market, especially the private sector.
“YES to Work” Initiative targeting young Emiratis, age of 15 to 18 years, and aims to develop their skills and provide them an opportunity to discover new skills through short courses in the
holidays.
The selected students will be called to attend a training program and workshops for one week in sales and customer service, and they will be moved after that to experience actual work and resume their duties for two to three weeks in different shops and commercial entities within in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Western Region, and Dubai.
