R&D
Blafar Ltd. provides R&D grade products for use in research, we also have a clean
room facility on site and are able to provide GMP like products if required.
Blafar Hyperbranched PEG-based Multi-Acrylate Polymers (HB-PEG) are avaliable with differing molecularweight, branching degree and vinyl group content. HB-PEG possesses good biocompatibility as well as fast gelation time with thiolated polymers (HA-SH/Gel-SH). HB-PEG can be crosslinked by UV irradiation in thepresence of the photoinitiator, making it particular suitable for 3D bioprinting.
Collagen is a common component of most tissues including bones, dermis and tendon. Atelocollagen is pepsin-digested in acidic solution to remove antigenic telopeptides. Blafar’s atelocollagen type I is extracted from certified BSE/TSE-free bovine Achilles tendons and is treated to minimise viral and exdotoxin contamination.
Blafar functionalised hyaluronic acid is modified from a natural glycosaminoglycan and component of the extracellular matrix (ECM) making it particularly suited to cell culture, cosmetic and medical device.
