L’hagid ki yashar Adonai tzuri v’lo avlatah bo. .ה בו ת י ולא עול , צור ר יי י יש יד כ להגA Psalm, a song for Shabbat. It is good to praise Adonai; to sing hymns to Your name, O Most High, to
proclaim Your steadfast love at daybreak, Your faithfulness each night with a ten-stringed harp, with voice and
lyre together. You have gladdened me by Your deeds, Adonai; I shout for joy at Your handiwork. How great
are Your works, Adonai, how very profoud Your designs! A brute cannot know, a fool cannot understand this:
The righteous bloom like a date-palm; they thrive like a cedar in Lebanon; planted in the house of Adonai, they
flourish in the courts of our God. In old age they still produce fruit; they are full of sap and freshness, attesting
that Adonai is upright, my Rock, in whom there is no wrong. (Psalm 92:1-6, 13-15).
You are forever mighty, Adonai; You give life to all. *Summer – You rain dew upon us. With love You sustain the
living, with great compassion you give life to all. You send help to the falling and healing to the sick; You bring
freedom to the captive and keep faith with those who sleep in the dust. Who is like you Mighty One? Who is like
You, Source of mercy? In compassion You sustain the life of your children. We praise You, Eternal God, the Source
of life.

We sanctify Your name on earth, even as all things, to the ends of time and space, proclaim Your holiness; and in the
words of the prophet we say: Holy, Holy, Holy is Adonai of Hosts; the fullness of the whole earth is God’s glory!
Source of our strength, Sovereign God, how majestic is Your presence in all the earth! Blessed is the glory of God in
heaven and earth. Adonai alone is our God and our Creator, God is our ruler and our Helper, and in God’s mercy
Adonai reveals God in the sight of all the living: I AM ADONAI YOUR GOD! Adonai shall reign for ever; your God, O
Zion, from generation to generation. Hallelujah! To all generations we will make known Your greatness, and to all
eternity proclaim Your holiness. Your praise, O God, shall never depart from our lips. Blessed is Adonai, the Holy
God.

is a sign forever between Me and the people of Israel, for six days the Eternal God made heaven and earth, taking
rest and refreshment on the seventh day.
Exodus 31:16-17
People often wonder why when we say we have silent prayer we often have music, because the silent prayer is not necessarily for us to be silent. Rather, it is the time when the voices of our ancestors are silenced, so that the unscripted prayers of each individual worshipper might rise. Silent prayer means that the siddur is silenced, while the prayers of our hearts are at last, if not
quietly, given voice. -Zoe Klein
- We pause for Silent Prayer -

You spread out the heavens and established the earth; You are our God; there is none else. In truth You alone are our
sovereign God, as it is written: Know this day and take it to heart: the Eternal One is God in the heavens above and
on the earth below; there is none else. And it has been said: The Eternal God shall rule over all the earth; On that day
You shall be One and Your name shall be One.
When I die give whats left of me away to children and old men. And if you need to cry cry for your brother walking the stree beside you. And when you need me, put your arms
around anyone and give them what you need to give me. Love doesn’t die, people do. So when all that’s left of me is love give me away.

Mourner's Kaddish We recall the loved ones whom death has taken from us . . .
We remember those whose names were mentioned, those whose
names remain unmentioned but are in our thoughts, and all those for

whom there is no one left to say Kaddish. Loving God, we praise Your name:
