How will the activity fee be used for the Donegal School District?› The revenue generated by the activity fee will be

reinvested back into the athletic program for: Uniform Replacement New Equipment Facility upgrades

› Ensures that programs are adequately funded despite financial limitations of the general fund budget. Sense of stability from year to year.

When will a student need to pay the activity fee?› The activity fee will be required to be paid

within the first three weeks of the activity. Failure to pay the fee will deem the student ineligible to participate in the activity until the activity is paid.

What if a student cannot afford the activity fee?› If a student cannot afford the activity fee,

the student and/or the student’s parent/guardian should contact the Donegal athletic office and speak with the athletic director. Our goal is to make sure every student can participate in extracurricular activities regardless of their financial situation.

› Students who receive free or reduced lunch could be exempt from paying the extracurricular activity fee.

Is there a limit to the number of activity fees one family will pay?› If a family has more than two students

required to pay the activity fee, the family will only be required to pay for the two students. (maximum $100 per family)

How is the activity fee paid?› Checks are strongly encouraged to be used

for tracking purposes. Checks are to be made payable to the “Donegal School District” with the students name, grade and activity written on the check. The check should be submitted to the middle school or high school office. All cash payments must be hand delivered to the high school office. A receipt will be provided for all cash payments.

Are refunds available for students who quit, are removed or get cut from a team/activity?› If cuts are involved, students should not pay

until the team is established. No refunds will be given for students quitting or if they are removed from the team. Any additional refund requests will be handled on an individual basis by the school administration.

Who is responsible for administering the program?› The Donegal Athletic Director will collect and

track the monies collected.

If I pay to participate, am I guaranteed playing time?

-This is a participation fee only, there is no guarantee of playing time.
