This scale is a precision instrument and must be used under certain conditions to ensure accurate measurement. Please observe the following when using this scale.
1.Never disassemble the unit.2.Use in a vibration-free location that is not exposed to direct sunlight.3.The scale will not measure accurately in an environment subject to large
temperature and humidity changes. The unit takes approximately two hours to adjust to such changes.
4.Keep chemicals off the scale. Wipe with a damp cloth from time to time.5.Do not use or store near heat sources(ovens, heaters, etc.).6.When not used for a long time, remove the batteries and store the unit in a dry,
dust-free location.7.Check and replace batteries before sending the unit for repair. If repair is
necessary, remove the batteries, repack the unit in the original carton and protect with packing materials before shipment.
8.Do not leave objects on the weighing tray when the scale is not in use.9.To avoid measurement error, do not measure while using equipment that
generates radio waves, such as mobile phones.

IMPORTANT 1. Do not dismantle the unit.2. Clean using mild detergent. Chemicals should not be used.3. Use the unit on a surface.4. Do not scrub with hard materials.
Power supply The kitchen scale has both a solar cell and a lithium battery. The solar cell powers the scale in bright areas, elsewhere the lithium battery is used. ● The solar cell does not charge the lithium battery and the battery will have to be
replaced when the icon appears. ● The scale can operate without a battery in bright areas.
If the light is not bright enough, the scale may exhibit the conditions described below. Should this happen, insert a lithium battery. ● appears. ● The display stays blank. ● The indication disappears during weighing. ● Brightness needed for powering the solar cell
● Place the kitchen scale about 1.4 m away from a 60 W incandescent bulb or 2.0 m from a 30 W light. Do not use it near an inverter light. If the scale does not produce accurate measurements, move it 1 m or further away from such a light source.

Replacing the battery The icon appears when the battery is depleted. Press the OFF button to turn off the scale and replace the old battery with a new CR2032 coin lithium battery that is within its recommended use-by date.
Inserting and removing batteries Open the battery compartment lid at the rear of the scale. Insert the battery as indicated on the label in the battery compartment with the plus mark facing up and visible to ensure that the + and - poles are correctly oriented. As shown in the remove the battery by inserting a thin stick in the space between the battery and the compartment wall.* Note that the supplied battery was inserted at the factory and may not last long.
Normal use * Make sure the tray is empty before turning on the scale.

Removing and installing the tray ● Do not use your nails to remove
the tray. Do not use force in removing or installing the tray as the tray and the scale may break down or be damaged.
● Hold the scale still when removing the tray.
● Never lift the scale by holding the tray. The scale could fall and be damaged.

Strap holeThe scale can be suspended from a hook by placing the strap hole on the hook.
● Do not suspend the scale in a location where it will be exposed to vibration or other unstable location from which it could fall. If it is exposed to impact, it may fall and cause injury. Do not use suction cup mounted hooks, hooks that attach using adhesive tape or magnets as they could separate from the supporting surface and cause the scale to fall.
● When the scale will be suspended from a hook, make sure that the hook will support the weight of the scale.
● Make sure that the tray is properly attached as it may otherwise fall off.
Auto power offThe scale is designed with an auto power-off function for energy If the same reading is displayed for more than 10 minutes, the scale will automatically turn off.

Trouble shooting
No indication appears when a button is pressed. The indication does not change.

● Check whether the battery is depleted. Insert a new CR2032 battery.
● Check whether the battery has been correctly inserted. Make sure to align the polarity of the battery properly.
● Check whether light falls on the solar panel. Place the scale in a location where the solar panel is properly illuminated.
● Check whether the light source is too dim or too distant. Use the scale in a location near a bright light source.
An abnormal indication is displayed ● Check whether the scale is used near an inverter light.Place the scale 1 m or more away from the light source.
Pressing the button displays a reading, which quickly disappears.
