3Employee BenefitsBenefits are available to employees at the 1st of the month after 60 days of employment.

Benefits Fair is held in May of each year with a start date of July 1st.

Benefits Fair: May 19-21, 20154Employee BenefitsHealth Insurance: Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia POS Access Plan Dental Insurance: MetLife High and Low OptionLife Insurance: Lincoln Life - $25,000 PolicyLong Term Disability: Lincoln Life

These benefits are paid by the City of Tybee Island for the employee at 100%. Dependents can be added to the health and dental for a semi-monthly cost. Extra life and vision insurance can be purchased for employees and dependents as well.

5Employee BenefitsRetirement/PensionGeorgia Municipal Association

An employee has to be employed for 1 full year before applying for this benefit. The City of Tybee Island contributes 100%. An employee is not considered fully vested until he/she reaches his/her 10th year. An employee can be partially vested at 50% on their 5th year anniversary, 60% on their 6th year anniversary, etc.

Lifestyle Management Resources is our EAP provider.7Employee BenefitsFact2015-2016 Benefit Hourly Rate: $6.06 per hourBased on Salary of $26,993 with WC rate of $3.87.

A City of Tybee employee should add another $6.06 per hour for benefits to their current hourly rate.Example: DPW Laborer starts at $12.98 per hour plus benefit rate of $6.06 per hour for a total of $19.04 per hour.8Employee BenefitsOther Benefits are:Holiday Pay 12 holidays per yearSick Pay 12 days per yearVacation Pay6 days for the 1st year 12 days for the 2nd 10th year 18 days after the 10th year9Wellness Program Awareness to Wellness
