1.2. NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURES1.2.1. GENERAL
Noise abatement procedures shall be executed by all ACFT.
1.3. LOW VISIBILITY PROCEDURES (LVP)1.3.1. GENERAL
LVP are applied when RVR is less than 550m. LVP are implemented by the phrase: "LVP in progress. Check your minimum"included into ATIS information or transmitted via communication channels by ATSunit.When RVR is 550m or above, on one RWY or on both RWYs, LVP shall be cancelledby the Fight Control Officer.The flight crew must read back all instructions of SOCHI Taxiing, SOCHI Towercontrollers.
1.3.2. ENGINES START-UP AND TAXIINGThe flight crews must request the clearance for engines start-up when they areready to start-up engines indicating stand number. After obtaining the clearancefrom SOCHI Taxiing the flight crew must commence towing or taxiing out ofstand.The flight crew shall report the presence of the Follow-me car in front of theACFT: "SOCHI Taxiing, AFL 1122, on TWY "Mike", the Follow-me vehicle is infront of us". Further taxiing of ACFT shall be executed under control of SOCHITaxiing controller.When visibility is less than 2000m in the daytime taxiing shall be executed withnavigation lights and ACFT lights switched on.ACFT taxiing shall be executed only after the Follow-me vehicle equipped withtwo-way radio communication Ground-Air and Ground-Ground, flashing beaconsand Follow-me light panel strictly along TWY centerline (irrespective of stand) tothe RWY holding position marking (ACFT holding position in front of RWY) withTWY and RWY lighting switched on.During taxiing about the apron area and maneuvering area the flight crew mustpermanently monitor ACFT position, especially at the points of TWY intersectionsin order to ensure the safety of taxiing. In case of difficulty or doubt of safe tax-iing execution, the flight crew must stop taxiing reporting it to SOCHI Taxiingcontroller.
1.3.3. DEPARTURE When LVP are in force, the presence of more than one ACFT on the RWY used fortake-off is not permitted.When LVP are in force, it is prohibited:- to cross RWY holding position (ACFT critical holding position in front of RWY,
ILS critical area) line marked with the established day marking without per-mission of SOCHI Tower controller;
- to take off not at the beginning of RWY;- to take off without stop at line-up position.

1.4. SURFACE MOVEMENT GUIDANCE AND CONTROL SYSTEM1.4.1. USE OF MODE S TRANSPONDER ON THE GROUND
The transponder shall be switched on on the stand before towing.The transponder shall be switched off on the stand after parking.The flight crew shall obtain clearance for further taxiing to the RWY holding posi-tion as well as taxi instructions from SOCHI Taxiing.It is prohibited to occupy the main TWY without permission of SOCHI Taxiing.Engines warm-up shall be carried out on the main TWY or on the RWY with thepermission of SOCHI Taxiing or SOCHI Tower respectively.By the instruction of SOCHI Taxiing the flight crew shall contact SOCHI Tower.On first radio contact with SOCHI Delivery, SOCHI Taxiing, SOCHI Tower control-lers the flight crew of ACFT, having the category of turbulence wake as heavy,shall pronounce the word "heavy" after the call sign of the ACFT. The controllermay not pronounce the word "heavy" in his reply.
1.5. TAXI PROCEDURESRWYs 02/20 and 06/24: ACFT taxiing to RWY for take-off and RWY vacation afterlanding shall be carried out with increased caution at reduced speed, at idlepower.Taxiing to RWY 06/24 along TWYs A, B, C and D only with Follow-me car.Taxiing to stands 65-1 thru 65-7 via stand 41 only with Follow-me car and withATS unit instruction.Simultaneous taxiing of ACFT along TWYs M and N with wingspan of 138'/42m ormore is prohibited.
1.6. PARKING INFORMATIONExit stands 2 thru 38, 55 and 56 by towing.Stands 40 thru 65 are available for helicopters.Stands 23 thru 32 are equipped with visual docking guidance system (SAFEDOCK).
1.7. OTHER INFORMATIONBirds in vicinity of APT.Take-off and landing of helicopters are allowed from/on any point of RWYs.

2.1. RWY OPERATIONSPilots shall advise ATC on first contact about necessity to land on RWY 06.
2.2. COMMUNICATION FAILURE PROCEDUREAfter entry into Sochi CTA continue the flight at last assigned flight level andcontinue along following STARs:a) AG 7A, MOBIT 7A, DIRUN 7A, BANUT 7A, BINOL 7A, KARAT 7A (to RWY 06 or
RWY 02). Thereafter carry out published instrument approach procedure usingILS DME or DVORDME;
b) AG 8S, MOBIT 8S, DIRUN 8S, BANUT 8S, BINOL 8S, KARAT 8S (to RWY 06).Thereafter carry out published instrument approach procedure using NDB 365 AD;
c) AG 7S, MOBIT 7S, DIRUN 7S, BANUT 7S, BINOL 7S, KARAT 7S (to RWY 02).Thereafter carry out published instrument approach using NDB 365 AD.
ACFT shall proceed to the alternate aerodromes of Krasnodar (Pashkovskiy) orMineralnyye Vody at FL 140 or FL 190 respectively, carry out published instrumentapproach procedures. Landing shall be carried out not later than 1 hour after ETA.
3.1. START-UP PROCEDURESWhen the information about the operation of departure service SOCHI Delivery isabsent in ATIS, then clearance shall be requested from SOCHI Taxiing.A pilot shall request for departure clearance 10 minutes before readiness forengine start-up, but not earlier than 30 minutes before the scheduled departuretime.The validity period of the departure clearance is 30 minutes from the moment ofobtaining such clearance.
In Wintertime
When it is necessary to treat the ACFT with de-icing fluid, it is allowed torequest the departure clearance before or during the de-icing treatment.Clearance for towing and start-up shall be requested on the operating frequencyof SOCHI Taxiing indicating the stand number and switch the ACFT SSR trans-ponder on.
3.2. TAKE-OFF PROCEDURES WHEN USING ONE ACTIVE RWYWhen only one RWY 06/24 is active and where there is an ACFT flying on the opposite courseAfter take-off from RWY 24 the flight crew shall use RWY 20 SID as follows:- After take-off climb straight ahead to 580' (495’) at ADL D3.0, then turn LEFT
to join the assigned SID for RWY 20.When only one RWY 02/20 is active and where there is ACFT flying on the opposite courseAfter take-off from RWY 20 the flight crew shall use RWY 24 SID as follows:- After take-off climb straight ahead to 750' (661’) at ADL D3.0, then turn
RIGHT to join the assigned SID for RWY 24.Take-off of ACFT is allowed when landing ACFT, flying on the opposite course, isnot closer than 21.6NM (40km).

3.3. NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURESTake-off and Climbing Phase
Noise abatement procedures shall be applied only during take-off and climbingphases of the flight.Noise abatement procedures shall not be executed in case of one of the ACFTengines fails during take-off phase.
Restrictions
Take-off with a tail wind component is allowed according to the Aeroplane FlightManual for specified ACFT type.RWY 24 take-off: climb on RWY heading to 580’ (495’) or above, with the maxi-mum possible climb gradient proceed to D3.0 ADL, turn RIGHT on 249^ track,contact SOCHI Radar on frequency 119.7 and according to SID or by ATC clearanceclimbing turn Right.RWY 20 take-off: climb on RWY heading to 750’(661’) or above, with the maxi-mum possible climb gradient proceed to D3.0 ADL, turn LEFT on ADL R-187,contact SOCHI Radar on frequency 119.7 and according to SID or by ATC clearanceclimbing turn RIGHT.Change of flight course of the ACFT after take-off is allowed only after reaching750’ (661’) or above, D3.0 ADL for RWY 20; 580’ (495’), D3.0 ADL for RWY 24 orby ATC clearance.The minimum indicated air speed of steady climb shall not be less than V2 + 11 KTor less than that prescribed in the Aeroplane Flight Manual if it has greatervalue.The maintaining of the minimum indicated air speed during climb is not requiredif it brings to exceeding the maximum permissible angle of attack.The reduction of engines power shall not be applied until:- The ACFT reaches 1080’ (990’) above aerodrome level;- The established standard power setting enables to maintain the established
climb gradient of not less than 4% at a speed specified above with the maxi-mum certified ACFT take-off mass;
- Take-off flight path provides overflying of all obstacles located under flightpath with sufficient clearance both when all engines are operating normallyand also taking into account possible engine failure and time period necessaryfor the remaining engines to develop full power.
The flight crews shall request for a stepless climb from SOCHI Taxiing controllerat the RWY holding position.

3.4. COMMUNICATION FAILURE PROCEDUREIn case of radio communication failure after take-off from RWY 24 [if at 580’ (495’)] and communication with SOCHI Radar is not established, turn Rightat Sochi VORDME ‘ADL’ 3NM (5.6km) DME to intercept Sochi VORDME ‘ADL’ R-249. Then continue either according to the assigned SID or carry out instrumentapproach procedure.In case of radio communication failure after take-off from RWY 20 [if at 750’ (661’)] and communication with SOCHI Radar is not established, turn Left atSochi VORDME ‘ADL’ 3NM (5.6km) DME to intercept Sochi VORDME ‘ADL’ R-187.Then continue either according to the assigned SID or carry out instrumentapproach procedure or proceed to the alternate aerodrome (Krasnodar (Pashko-vskiy), Mineralnyye Vody) along the route to Lazarevskoye NDB ‘LA’ passing it atFL 90 or to BINOL passing it at FL 180.If required, on pilot’s decision, after crossing Lazarevskoye NDB (BINOL) ACFTmay proceed to the alternate aerodrome indicated in FPL without radio communi-cation at one of the following flight levels established for flights without radiocommunication: FL 140 to Krasnodar (Pashkovskiy) or FL 190, FL 250 to Mineral-nyye Vody.In case of radio communication failure during climbing to flight level (altitude)the pilot shall proceed at altitude (flight level) last assigned by ATC to NDB orcompulsory reporting point of exit corridor from Sochi TMA and after passing NDBor compulsory reporting point of exit corridor climb to assigned flight levelaccording to FPL.In case of radio communication failure during IFR flight and when it is impossibleto change to visual flight, ACFT shall proceed to the destination aerodromeaccording to FPL. In this case the pilot shall maintain the last assigned flightlevel till crossing radio navigation fix of the flight-planned aerodrome of landingand commence descending at ETA or close to it, indicated in FPL. Approach shallbe carried out by established procedures. Landing, if possible shall be carried outwithin 30 minutes after ETA.If the flight to the destination aerodrome is not connected with crossing theState border of Russia, the pilot shall carry out landing at the nearest alternateaerodrome. In this case, ACFT shall proceed at one of the flight levels FL 140,FL 150 or FL 240, FL 250, established for the flights without radio communicationdepending on flight direction.

Docking procedure shall be activated by pressing one of the buttons, denotingthe aircraft type, on the operator's panel. After pressing the button the display will show WAIT.
After the aircraft is fixed by a laser, the running arrow will be replaced by ayellow indicator of the centerline.Red flashing arrow shows the direction of turn.Yellow vertical arrow shows the aircraft position relative to the centerline.This indicator shows the correct position and azimuth guidance.
An aircraft is at the indicated distance from the stopping position. The absence of red arrows indicating the direction means that the aircraft is moving strictly along the centerline.
The running arrows on the display show that the system is activated and is inthe mode of search for the approaching aircraft.It is necessary to check the compliance of the aircraft type shown on the displaywith the actual type of the aircraft. It is necessary to follow along the indicatedline of entry.The pilot must not bring up an aircraft to the aerobridge until the running arrows change to the approach distance indicator.

APPROACH DISTANCE
Approach distance is a countdown from a definite distance to the stopping position. A yellow vertical progress bar/centerline indicator is displayed with digital countdown or without it depending on the configuration. The bar of approach progress characterizes the distance from the stopping position and is formed by a group of rows corresponding to a distance, for example, 1'/0.3m or 2'/0.6m (one row) depending on the configuration requirements. As far as the aircraft is approaching, the rows are gradually switching off (whereas the length of the progress bar is decreasing from bottom to top) and after switching off the last row only an interval is left to one row, after that the display will show STOP.Digital countdown (variant) represents a distance to the stopping position in a digitized form, for an example, 49'/15m, 66'/20m or 98'/30m depending on the configuration requirements.In case of a digital counting during approach a decrement of another type is used.An example of digital counting:Starting with a decrement of 3'/1m from 66'/20m to 10'/3m, then with a decrement of 1'/0.2m from 10'/3m to 1'/0.2m with subsequent representation of STOP on the display.A figure shows the aircraft advance along the approach distance from the stopping position with a slight deviation to the LEFT of the centerline. Red arrow shows the direction of turn.Some figures show devices where only the centerline is shown, without digital counting.
CENTERLINE ALIGNMENT
SLOW DOWN
The SAFEDOCK settings switch on the active area of speed reduction (theoptional group of distances from the stopping position which is normally20'/6m - 79'/24m), on the basis of the allowed speed of docking(the optional maximum allowed speed which is normally 2 m/s).The speed of 2 m/s with rounding down to integer values is approximatelyequal to 7 km/h, 4 miles per hour or 3 KT.If the aircraft approaches the stopping position at a speed exceeding the allowedvalue, the system will show SLOW on the display as a CAUTION for the pilot.

The aircraft is at the indicated distance to the stopping position. The yellow arrow indicates that the aircraft is to the RIGHT of the centerline, while the red flashing arrow is indicating the direction of turn.
When the correct stopping position is reached by the aircraft, the display will showSTOP in a red box or with red indicators.
When the aircraft is correctly parked, the display will show OK.

The display can show this indication due to two reasons:UNFAVOURABLE WEATHER CONDITIONSDue to heavy fog, snow or rain the coverage of the docking guidance system can be reduced. In this case when the system is activated and is in the mode of search, the running arrows will be switched off on the display and the text SLOW and the aircraft type will be shown on the display alternately. As soon as the system fixes the approaching aircraft, then a vertical bar, showing the approach speed, will appear.If the system is configurated as an abbreviated identification system (check of the engine position is switched off), the aircraft symbol will flash to attract the attention. IDENTIFICATION OF AIRCRAFT IS LOST DURING DOCKINGIf the identification of aircraft is lost during docking, the display will show SLOW. As soon as the system fixes the approaching aircraft, then a vertical bar, showing the approach speed, will appear.The pilot must not bring up the aircraft to the aerobridge until the split, showing the approach speed, appear.

The geometrical parameters of the aircraft are checked during docking on the stand.T1: If for any reason identification is not achieved at 39'/12 m from the stopping position, the display will show WAIT and a repeated check will be carried out. If it fails too, the display will show STOP and ID FAIL.T2, T3: If for any reason identification is not achieved at 39'/12 m or at 131'/40 m from the stopping position, depending on the settings, the display willshow WAIT and a repeated check will be carried out. If it fails too, the display will show STOP and ID FAIL. The text will be shown in a successive order in two upper lines of the display.The pilot must not bring up the aircaft to the aerobridge without getting the instructions until the indication WAIT si changed to the split showing the approach speed.
If an object is found which is blocking the field of vision from the gate/apron coverage of the SAFEDOCK system to the planned stopping position of the aircraft, the docking process will be delayed and the display will show WAIT and GATE BLOCK. The docking process will continue as soon as the blocking objectis removed.The pilot must not bring up the aircaft to the aerobridge without getting the instructions until the indication WAIT is changed to the split showing the approach speed.
If the view is blocked in the direction of the approaching aircraft, for example, due to the internal problem of the laser lenses or unclean laser window or another object in the close coverage, the SAFEDOCK system will inform about the conditionof the blocked view. As soon as the system restores the ability of scanning through the obstruction, the display will change WAIT to the display of the approaching aircraft.The pilot must not bring up the aircaft to the aerobridge without getting the instructions until the indication WAIT is changed to the split showing the approach speed.
Any errors not subject to correction in the process of docking will lead to SBU (safety back up) mode activation. The display will show STOP SBU. Manual reserve procedure will be used for docking guidance.
If the aircraft approaches at a speed exceeding the abilities of the system, the display will show STOP TOO FAST. The docking guidance system must be reset or the docking procedure must be carried out manually under assistance of the instructions.
After pressing the button of emergency stop, the display will show STOP.
