This course introduces students to learn the world of computers and its usage. They will develop a good knowledge base of computer history, vocabulary, computer basic and IT that make up being computer literate. They will also be given time to work on the computer thus getting practical hands with Word Processor to design projects and spreadsheets with Excel used for storing data and calculations. They can use Internet Technology comfortably and gain knowledge on computer ethics and can understand the working methods to help themselves. They are taught skills in characteristics and habit of work that show enthusiasm, punctuality, economy, care for safety, cleanliness and carefulness. Studying and using the information technology process in searching the data of interest and sources of data around them. They know and understand about occupations as well as have knowledge, capacity and morality related to occupations. Students can work on individual projects plus assignments. Much emphasis will also be laid on team work and group interaction. A lot of emphasis will be given to application of the lesson learnt, student innovativeness and creativity. The lessons will be taught to help students develop new and unique ways of presenting their ideas, skills and creativity.
